Dumb Jealousy

Summary: Heading out to a blind date makes Bucky and Loki jealous

Pairing: James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes x Male! Avenger! Reader, Loki x Male! Avenger! Reader

Authors Note: I wasn’t sure how the requester wanted it to end. But, if someone asks or if I decide I want too I’ll write three separate endings

!!Requests Are Open!!

Loki Odinson/Laufeyson and Bucky Barnes. Both had at one point been considered villains, and, both of them had fallen for someone that had at one point been considered their enemy. Biggest problem, though? They had fallen for the same male, a slightly oblivious guy named (Y/N), who was also an avenger.

The first time they had realised they liked the same guy, Bucky had been flirting heavily with (Y/N), who was just as obvious as always. When (Y/N) left the living room to make a sandwich, Loki had confronted Bucky.

"Why are you flirting with him?" Loki asked pointedly, staring down at Bucky who was on the couch. "Because I like him?" Bucky rose a brow at Loki. "Why do you care anyway?" Loki grumbled out an answer, refusing to meet his eyes. "I like him as well."

This new revelation caused quite a bit of tension between the two men, not that there wasn't already some. That caused a lot of fighting between the two, and aggressive flirting towards (Y/N).

One particular night, the two were in a rather heated argument, when they were interrupted by (Y/N) walking in, trying to adjust a suit jacket.

Both men tensed, watching the male silently. "You look nice." Bucky spoke up suddenly, making (Y/N) turn around in a jump. "Oh! Thanks Bucky!" (Y/N) grinned lightly at him. "Special occasion?" Loki asked, stepping an inch closer. (Y/N) turned to him with a happy bounce.

"Mhm! I have a blind date tonight!" Instantly, Bucky and Loki froze. "I- What?" Bucky asked, sharing a glance with Loki. "Blind date, like I said." (Y/N) giggled, giving them both a quick hug. "I'll see you later, byeeeee." He waved, quickly leaving to head out to his blind date.

"We have to stop that date." Bucky and Loki said simultaneously, locking eyes as they turned to each other. "(Y/N), wait!!" Bucky called quickly, the male turning and walking back into the room when he heard his name. "Yeah?" He asked, tilting his head cutely.

"You shouldn't go on the date." Loki spoke up, moving in front of Bucky. "Why?" (Y/N) asked curiously, crossing his arms as he stared at the two in front of him. The two tensed. What were they going to say?

Now, (Y/N) was oblivious, but he wasn't THAT oblivious. From all their flirting towards him and their arguing towards each other- and with Wanda's help -he had picked up on their feelings towards him. The only reason he had agreed to the blind date was to see their reactions. And honestly? It was hilarious.

(Y/N) rose a brow as he looked between the two. "Come on now, speak up." He laughed lightly. Bucky spoke up now. "I think.. If you're going to go on a date it should be with me."

The look of complete horror on Loki's face that Bucky was trying to get (Y/N) to choose him was hilarious. (Y/N) couldn't help it, and burst out into a fit of laughter. Instantly, the glaring-staring competition between the two stopped, and they looked at the male who literally couldn't breath from laughter.

(Y/N) put his hands on his knees as he bent over, laughing. "You two are so-" He was interrupted by another fit of laughter. "So ridiculous."

"What.. Are you talking about?" Loki asked, sharing a look with Bucky. (Y/N) took a deep breath, standing up and taking a few deep breaths. "I can't believe you two." He shook his head with a chuckle. "Arguing and glaring isn't very subtle. I figured out you both like me a couple of weeks ago."

"Wait, really?" Bucky asked, a little shocked. How could the oblivious male have figured it out? (Y/N) chuckled, winking at them both. "Talk to ya later, boys. I missed dinner and I'm starving." He grinned and quickly left to go find food.
