My body hates me now, and I gotta pay for it.
Forgive me body for I have sinned, I filled you with too much unwanted nutrients, and you give me hell within me. I could not help myself to eating my handmade baked goods, my temptations for sweets and coffees, and adventure for new flavors and delicacies.
Today will be my new adventure to get back on track. I know everyone made a resolution. My resolution is to be able to run ten miles non-stop. Barely any progress made. Also those who want to lose their holiday binge bellies. I do too, on top of my stress gut. I have to motivate myself to achieve my dream body but at the same time be concern about my health.
I started to be concerned with my body and health when I got tired of being sick ALL THE TIME. I had moments when I had an awful time breathing along with my anxieties. I even suffered from middle infection, sinusitis, and bronchitis in one hit, took forever to recover. I thought this was my life not happy, sick, stressed, and negative. Going to grow up to be a selfish, disgruntled, fat, old hag. No, no. no... I wanted to be happy, smiling, inspiring, feeling young (as 30-years-old) when I hit 50, and doing what I want.
Back in March 2010, at 150lbs, my dad told me he invested in P90X. I heard of the program but my fear was it would be intense for me and I may injure myself. Then, I told myself, "NO, DO NOT GIVE UP! Try it." I gave it a shot. My fear vanished when it gave me options to start off on the right pace. I motivated myself to eat healthy and shed all the unwanted pounds, love handles, bra fat, back fat, gut. Any body part that would make a woman self-conscious or insecure about. 1.5 months into the program, I lost 15lbs. I was proud of myself. I even challenged myself to do heavier weights, more reps in amount of time, and challenging the pace. I did not officially completed the program. I did the program for 2.5 months, because my attention span went off, either my challenges were no longer challenging, and sad yet amusing that I remembered the names of the people in the video. For i.e. One day my brother and I synced our schedules to do one of the workout videos, but I played the wrong workout. We both noticed by asking "wait, why is so-and-so in this?" or "Isn't so-and-so suppose to motivate us?"
Three months later, at 130, I did stick with some of workouts, did my own thing with what I learned, and did more jogging. Kept a steady weight at 125lbs and watched out what I ate.
March 2012 I started to fall in love with running, plus went vegetarian for a long while. I noticed how stress-free I became, how much healthier I felt, and felt slimming, toned, and a flat stomach. Was getting close to my ideal goal. Tracked my weight and my fat%. Also tried the Brazilian Butt Lift program to focus on my legs and glutes.
Holidays came, getting sick with allergy fever, craving foods i shouldn't have ate but couldn't help (and stressed-out) but indulge in new foods or favorite foods. I barely exercised too, so it was not helping to keep the binge belly away.
June 2013, today at 130lbs (gained 5lbs + 3% increase on my body fat from the last % previously recorded). My body hates me now, and I gotta pay for it by keeping track my food intake and scheduling my workouts. I will be blogging my progress with Nikki Sharp's Detox (http://www.staysharpbestrong.com/detox-plan/) and Live Strong's 5 Day Workout (http://www.livestrong.com/article/112472-day-workout-plan-women/). Wish me luck :D
