You had been visiting the same cafe for 2 years every morning. ‘Yours Truly Cafe’
The owner knew you very well since you always came in while reading a book and always ordered the same thing.
“One hot cocoa with extra marshmallows please.” You said without your eyes leaving your book. You placed the money down and walked to your usual seat while reading your book.
After some time, someone placed the hot cocoa at your table.
“Thank you.” You said, still looking at your book. You took a sip which caused your attention to divert to your drink.
“Hm? It’s sweeter than usual..” you said to yourself. You didn’t complain though, it tasted really good.
You looked up to give the owner a smile but instead saw the back of someone else.
Maybe he hired someone new.
1 month later
You were reading a new book, again, and you were waiting your turn to order.
“One hot cocoa with-“ you began before someone interrupted you.
“With extra marshmallows?” The waiter said.
You looked up from your book and met eyes with him.
He’s so… handsome, how am I only noticing him now?
“Y-yeah please.” You said giving him a small smile before placing the money on the table and going to your seat.
This time, instead of going straight to your book, you observed the man.
Was he your age? How long has he been working here?
You saw him coming your way and you quickly opened your book, pretending to read.
“Miss?” He said while holding your hot cocoa.
“O-oh thank you!” You stuttered.
“Your book, its upside down.” He giggled before putting your drink on your table.
You were so embarrassed and quickly flipped it.
He smiled and made his way back to the front.
You actually started reading your book now. You picked up your drink to take a sip and noticed the marshmallows. Some of the marshmallows were heart shaped.

Next day
You didn’t come into the cafe while reading your book but had it in your hand so you could make eye contact with the new waiter.
It was your turn and saw the owner.
“Oh? Ah, one hot cocoa with extra marshmallows please.” You said while giving the owner a smile.
“No book today?” He said while pouring water into the machine.
You shook your head no, showed him your book and made your way to your seat. You looked around the shop but didn’t see him.
Where could he be? Was he not working today?
You saw the owner coming your way with your drink.
“Thank you… um the new waiter, he’s not here today?” You asked hesitantly.
“New? Ah, my grandson? He’s visiting his parents today.” He said before giving you a napkin.
You nodded and took a sip of your drink. It wasn’t as sweet as usual now, it was back to its normal taste.
He’s the owners grandson?

You got up, about to leave when suddenly, someone ran into the cafe and bumped into you causing both of you to fall and drop your book.
“I-I’m so sorry! I shouldn’t have been running!” A familiar voice said.
You looked up and saw him.
“Park Jimin! What did I say about running into the cafe at busy times?” The owner said.
“S-sorry.” He got up and bowed.
He picked up your book and held out his hand to help you up and you gladly took it.
“I’m so sorry.” He said and bowed.
“No, it’s fine. I wasn’t watching where I was going.” You said before taking your book from him.
“Y-you’re leaving now?” He asked you.
You nodded and waved to the owner.
“Wait-“ he said before grabbing your wrist, causing you to look at him in confusion.
“I wanted to ask you something… is it okay if we talk for a bit?” He asked shyly while looking at his shoes.
You gave him a smile and he brought you to your usual seat.
“Um.. your name?” He asked you quietly.
“Y/n. And you’re Jimin.” You said.
He nodded and gave a smile. Gosh his smile was so cute.
“T-the truth is, I ran here as fast as I could after visiting my parents so I could see you..” he confessed while looking at his shoes.
“T-to see me?” You asked him in shock.
He nodded and rubbed the back of his neck.
“I’ve been working here with my grandfather for a month and I noticed you came here every morning and I really admired you.. every time I saw you come into the door, my heart starts racing and I always thought ‘maybe today will be the days she notices me’ but you just never noticed or looked at me. I was so happy when you actually looked at me yesterday.” He said before covering his face with his hands from embarrassment.
You looked at him, still in shock.
He looked out from his hands since you weren’t responding and laughed.
“Haha s-sorry, it’s so sudden. I’m sorry, you can forget-“ you cut him off by waving your hands.
“No no, I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to stay silent, I was just trying to process what you said. I apologize for not noticing you until yesterday.” You giggled.
You two were getting to know each other but it was time for you to leave, you had to meet up with a friend.
“Is it okay for me to ask for your number, y/n?” He asked you before he took out his phone.
You smiled and took his phone to add your number.
“Goodbye Jimin~” you said cheerfully while waving to him.

“Make sure you get to your friends house safely! :) it’s Jimin!”
You smiled at the text and added his number.
To: Jimin

“I will! Help your grandfather a lot today!”
Jimin smiled at your message before his grandfather interrupted him.
“You like Miss y/n don’t you?” He asked while wiping the tea cups with a cloth.
“N-no! Why would you say that?” Jimin stuttered.
“You specially bought heart shaped marshmallows and only put them in Miss y/n’s drink.” He said calmly.
“I-“ Jimin began but closed his mouth since he couldn’t deny it.
[11:48pm]
Jimin couldn’t sleep, especially with the thought of you running through his head. You finally noticed him and had a conversation with him. He took out his phone and texted you.

“You awake?”
You texted right after since you were already messaging your other friends.
To: Jimin

“Yeahh… cant sleep?”
Jimin wanted to hear your voice so he called you.
“Hello?” You answered.
“Ahh maybe I shouldn’t have called…” Jimin sighed.
“What? Why?” You asked sadly.
“Because hearing your voice makes me want to see you now.” He said shyly.
You thought your heart skipped a beat and blushed.
“Maybe we can meet up at the cafe and go out for some ice cream?” He asked, hoping you would say yes.
“An ice cream date?” You asked with a big smile on your face.
“it’s our first date, I’m going to hang up now. I want to see you quickly so get ready quick! See you soon, y/n!” He said happily before hanging up.
