She is discerning and attentive, and she listens to the unspoken word and His Spirits whisper. She brings an energy and a flame, she is a light that cannot be tamed, and she is compassion beyond capability. She is the embrace in the stillness and the gentle push in the battle, and she bares fruit that is ripened and sweet. She is welcoming and accepting; of scars, of loneliness and of pain; and she intercedes in the depths of the damage. She is an encourager, a woman who’s tongue holds sincerity and power and she speaks life into all she sees. She is loyal and willing to put her desires aside for the greater good. She is passionate and kind and prioritises the healing of the heart. She is a dreamer, a doer, a thinker and a prayer. She stands on the edges of cliffs and screams readiness at the storms of life, and runs through the crashing and rolling thunder without hesitation. She is mighty but sensitive; a delicate flower that feels deeply and loves deeper. She speaks truth even when it hurts and she protects even when the war wages. She is the woman who inspires you to grow, to change, to create and to be. She is there for the short term, the mid term and the long term in this life, without a demand or expectation of anything in return. She thinks wholesomely, laughs contagiously and loves fervently. Waiting on the Lord means you’re putting your trust and hope in Him. You’re living with an attitude of faith and expectancy. In the natural, if you are waiting for someone like a special dinner guest, you probably aren’t just sitting around the house wondering what will happen. No, you’re probably preparing for that special person, straightening the house and making sure everything is perfect for their arrival. Most likely, you started weeks in advance making the menu and deciding what to wear! In the same way, when you are waiting on the Lord, it doesn’t mean you are just sitting around. It means you are preparing for Him.

Are you ready for God to move on your behalf? Are you waiting on Him? As you take a step of faith, He’ll meet you there. He’ll renew your strength and lead you into victory in every area of your life!

A woman who fears the Lord will not run away from God to satisfy her longings and relieve her anxieties. She will wait for the Lord. She will hope in God. She will stay close to the heart of God and trust in his promises. The prospect of departing into the way of sin will be too fearful to pursue; and the benefits of abiding in the shadow of the Almighty too glorious to forsake.
