The holidays were approaching, and Zoe wanted to take photos for Christmas cards. "They'll be cute!" She promised, as she made her family pick out dorky sweaters and hats.

They were getting ready when someone knocked on the door. "I'll get it!" Maddox exclaimed, and went to the door. Upon opening it, he saw Matty's gray eyes staring at him. "M..Matty, hi." Maddox stammered. "Hope you don't mind me coming by, I missed you." Matty said, beaming at Maddox. "Well, my family's here, we're taking holiday photos. Can you come back later?"

"Doxx, we've been seeing each other for three weeks. Don't you think I should get to meet your family?" From within the house, his mom called out. "Who is it, sweetie?"  "Ok, Matty, ok. Come on in."

When they entered, everyone was watching TV. The boys sat down on the couch.

"Oh, look, it's your cute friend!" Marielle replied, smiling at him. I'm glad you brought him over. I'm Marielle. I'm sure my brother has told you all about me." Marielle smiled, and winked. Maddox cringed, but stayed silent.

After the short but sweet and sporadic kiss was over, Matty grinned and winked at Maddox. Maddox blushed, and looked down. "I hope we can do more of that, later. Walk me out?" Matty asked.

Maddox walked Matty to the door, and gave a casual goodbye. Marielle eyed Matty as he strutted across the room. "Wow, your friend is cute. You should introduce me next time he comes over." Marielle remarked after he was gone. Maddox smiled, happy that his sister was none the wiser.

Hi guys! Sorry I haven't posted an update in a while. Everything's been hectic with work, holidays, etc. Today was my birthday, and my fiancé and I visited the Japanese Tea Garden and De Young museum in Golden Gate park. We live 30 minutes away from San Francisco, but we don't visit often enough. I had a very happy and peaceful day, and promise to have an update soon!

One afternoon, Maddox got a text from Matty Hutchens, the boy he met at the park. Matty asked if they could hang after school tomorrow. Maddox blushed, and replied. "Are you texting with your girlfriend?" Marielle teased, looking up from her homework.

They got off from the school bus together, and walked up to the house. Marielle was at a club meeting, and his parents would be gone until late at night. Not that that mattered...they were just friends. "You cut your hair" Maddox remarked as he nervously unlocked the door.

Maddox led Matty to his bed room. "So you share a room with your sister, huh?" Matty asked, sitting down on her bed. "Yeah, unfortunately. My parents don't have that much money, so we've always shared a room."

They talked for a while about school and hobbies, until Matty brought up his ex boyfriend. "Are you..out?" Maddox asked shyly. "I've been out for the past year. Came out to my parents on my 16th birthday." Matty laughed.

Time flew by, and the sun started to set. "Well...I should get going, Dox." They both stood up. "Thanks for coming over! It's nice being able to talk to someone else about stuff." Matty hugged him, and whispered, "any time."

Next thing Maddox knew, he was kissing his friend. Matty was happily surprised, and kissed him back.

Marielle had her birthday! She's a geek genius whose aspiration is to be a Renaissance Sim.

When they got home from the park, Maddox sat down to finish his homework. Marielle joined him, and read her new book.

"Did you have a fight with your friend?" Marielle asked him at one point. "Uh...kind of. It's complicated." Maddox responded. His sister gave him a look of confusion, and kept reading her book.

After his homework was done, Maddox went outside to use his punching bag. "Stupid...Darian. Flirting with me, leading me on." Maddox said between punches. He realized that maybe he had read more into Darian's actions than he should have, but either way, it wasn't fun being embarrassed in public.

Both Darian and Maddox stood up, and tried to not make eye contact. "I should be going." Darian said, and turned around. Maddox sighed.

"Ouch" a stranger sitting on a nearby bench remarked. Maddox sat next to him. "What would you know about it?" Maddox asked, flustered.

"Well, since you asked, I'm gay. I know what it's like opening up to someone and then getting shut down." The teen said calmly.

"Oh, I'm not gay. I mean, Darian was the only guy who I have ever liked...probably just a fluke." Maddox stated.

"Ok, I got it. I don't know you, but I'd like to. Maybe we can hang out some time?"

"Maybe" Maddox replied with a slight smile.

Sorry for a non-Sims post. I wanted to share another game I play, it's a free MMORPG game called Neverwinter. I used to be a big D&D player, and Neverwinter is a famous D&D campaign/module. What can I say, I'm a nerd.

I mainly play my drow rouge, as seen above. My fiance introduced me to the game, and it's super fun playing together.

I doubt anyone else plays it, but if you do, let me know!

One sunny day, Marielle asked Maddox to take her to the park. "Please!" She whined. "You said you would, and I'm finished with my homework." "Oh, alright" Maddox finally answered. Marielle hugged him tightly, and they set out.

As soon as they stepped outside, Maddox saw that Darian just happened to be strolling by his house. "Darian!" Maddox yelled. "Hey Darian, I'm taking my little sister to the park. Do you want to come?" Maddox asked shyly. "Sure, why not?" Darian replied.

As soon as they arrived, Marielle ran for the playground. The boys stood around for a minute, and then Maddox asked Darian if he wanted to sit down on a bench. Darian nodded, and they headed for the bench.

"So..." Maddox started. "I know this is really...odd to say, but to be truthful, I've been thinking about you a lot. Can't get you off of my mind." Maddox laughed nervously, and scratched at his neck. Darian remained silent, but made an odd face. "I don't know if I'm gay...or what, but I like you. I just wanted to say it out loud, if that makes sense."

Darian suddenly looked uncomfortable. "Hey, Dox, I'm really not- I'm straight. I'm not judging you, but I'm not into you like that,  I'm sorry."

The next night, the family shared dinner together. As Maddox was grabbing his plate, Zoe asked him a question. "What was the name of your friend who came over the other day? Daron?"

"Uh, Darian." Maddox said quickly, and changed the subject. "Hey Marielle, congrats on your latest report card!" No one brought up Darian again, and they had a quiet meal together.

Zoe had finished and sat down on the couch to watch TV. Marielle was getting ready for bed, and only Brandt and Maddox remained at the table. "So Dox...do you have a girlfriend yet? When I was your age, I had girls begging to date me." Brandt embellished, winking at his son. "No, no...not many cute girls in my class, I guess." Maddox laughed nervously, and rose from the table.

"I should be going to bed now..." Maddox said, walking away. "But you haven't finished your meal!" Brandt replied.

Later that evening, Brandt was enjoying a drink. Zoe was washing the dishes, and Brandt asked her, "Did Maddox seem a bit strange at dinner? It seems like he's hiding something from us." Zoe turned and smiled at Brandt. "He's a teenager, of course he's hiding something!"

One day after school, Maddox invited his friend Darian Lymon to the house. The game was on, and so they planned to watch it together. The game ended up being slow, and the boys chatted and joked.

There was silence for a moment, and Maddox looked his friend up down. "Hey, Darian...you're dating Emily, right?" Maddox asked. "No, not anymore." Darian replied, looking a bit sad. "Well hey, you're a really good looking guy. You'll find someone else in no time."

There was another silence, and Maddox could swear that Darian blushed just a bit. Maddox started to put his hand over Darian's hand, but Zoe came in the room. "The Lions loosing, eh?" She said after watching the game for a minute. Neither of the boys responded.

"Well...I should go. Have to do homework 'n stuff." Darian remarked, rising from the couch. Maddox wanted to hug him, but instead they high fived. "Thanks for coming over!" Maddox enthused as his friend walked out the door.

Maddox took a shower before bed. As the steaming water hit his body, Darian popped into his mind. Maddox shook his head, and turned off the water.

Happy (late) Thanksgiving!

Hi fellow Simmers! I apologize for not posting recently. I'm at my parents' house for the weekend, and I don't have my computer with me. I won't get home until Sunday night, so I will hopefully have some updates on Monday. Hope everyone in the states had a nice Thanksgiving!

Zoe woke up early to bake Maddox his birthday cake. Normally they would have celebrated his birthday in the evening, but Zoe was working from 5pm to 1am now. Brandt was already at work, but would be home by the time she had to leave.

The kids woke up and got dressed. "It's my birthday!" Maddox exclaimed, smile from ear to ear when he saw his birthday cake. "Make a wish!" Marielle advised.

Maddox blew out the candles, and wished that he would be a grow up to be a world-famous athlete. A kid can dream, right?

(Not bad, eh? He's a cutie like his dad, imo)

My game is working again! I uninstalled and reinstalled, and it hasn't crashed since. I also went through my cc, which I think helped.

Maddox's birthday will be in the next update, yay! Hopefully he ages well.

Sorry I haven't been posting a lot lately. I'm having issues with crashing, and I've been trying to figure it out. I removed all my CC, but it still crashes every 10-20 minutes. :<
