Chaos besieges Chaos - full shot in source link.

Ugh! The wings always got in the way. Why did Ruzal have to have them? Abaddon frowned as he made to grab the other warrior and get him in a headlock. He had planned on ruffing that too perfect hair into the perfect mess, but the wings just kept getting in the way!
âGive over,â Abaddon taunted, trying to use his superior strength to grapple the warrior instead - it had worked before, it might work again!
@ask-ruzal
âSometimes you are ridiculous, Ezekyle,â Ruzal grumbled as he attempted to fight back. But where he had wings, leverage, and endurance, Abaddon had stubborn, focused, strength. And this time, Abaddon had come from the side while his wings were pushed back, so smacking him repeatedly with them didnât do anything to stop the grip.
He did have another weapon, though, but he waited, instead attempting to wrestle himself free while smacking the Despoiler in the face with his wings. Ruzal silently denied that the play fighting pleased him. He let out an indignant squeak once the grapple took hold, the wings fluffing to twice their usual size.
âDonât ruin my hair!â he sputtered, realizing Abaddon was using the same tactics as he had in the past.
Oh! Was that a plea? Abaddonâs mouth turned into the biggest, shit-eating grin he could pull off and reached out a meaty hand, âNo? Does the Black Legion Pretty Boy not want to go around looking like a tousled mess?â His tone teased right before he pushed his hand into the horribly soft locks and made a great big tangled mess of them.
That had been his goal from the beginning; now Ruzal looked as though he had been dragged through a hedge backwards, and better for it as well. Abaddon did not release him yet though, he wasnât going to make it that obvious!!
Ruzal's wings fluffed as he felt the hand twisting in his hair. Abaddon was not going to survive this war unscathed. The Imperium would elevate Ruzal to heroism despite his status as heretic astartes.
He snarled at Abaddon, pressing against him before weaving his hand into the topknot and ripping off the hairtie. "You have crossed the line now, Ezekyle," he growled playfully before twisting the topknot and taking care to smack the shit-eating smirk directly in the teeth with his right wing.
"And you'll suffer the consequences of disrespecting the Black Legion Pretty Boy for eternity!"
Abaddon bit down on the wing in his mouth and yanked out a couple of feathers. Spitting them out again - they never tasted that good anyway - he clung to Ruzalâs head and began leading him around. âOh, is that so?â he asked. âAnd how is that? My hair is never perfect, I always look like I am tired and I was never much to look at in the first place.â (Unless you were Meli, who was weird in her opinions anyway).
Abaddon looked at the door, smirked down at the Pretty Boy he had in a headlock and shrugged, âShall we go for a walk? See what the rest of the gang think of this?â he asked, ruffing his hair again for effect.
(@ask-the-lupercal, 30k Abaddon) Horus swats the topknot playfully as he walks by.
@ask-the-lupercal
Abaddon would have cursed anyone soundly for such disrespect. Anyone else that was. When he saw who it was that had given his plume of hair a tug, he gave a respectful nod. âSir,â he said.
âFeel like playing cards or sparring? Iâm bored, weâre four days out from anything entertaining, and Iâm tired of listening to Tarik crack jokes,â Horus stated as he paused and nodded back to his First Captain. âWe can wager on either, if youâre feeling up to it.âÂ
âYou were going to show me how to play that one with the peg board and cards...â Abaddon had never learned the name of it, but now seemed like a good a time as any. âIt would be infinitely more interesting than hearing Tarik try to be funny...â
As though summoned, Tarik walked in, whistling off tune specifically to irritate Abaddon. "Did you just ask the Primarch to teach you how to peg, Ezekyle?" He taunted.
Horus massaged the bridge of his nose a moment before letting out a slow sigh. "Tarik, stop antagonizing him. Again. I believe he was asking about Cribbage."
Tarik opened his mouth to make another remark, but Horus held up his hand in warning. Tarik did not respond except to start whistling again while looking Abaddon in the eyes.
Abaddon snarled at Tarik, showing etched teeth. Heâd have lunged at the baffoon if it hadnât been for Horusâ words. How dare he suggest such a stupid thing. He bristled instead.
âThat was the name of it,â Abaddon said, teeth still half-clenched. âI have no idea how to play, I want to know,â he said. he pushed the fit of ire aside and refocused his mind instead.
The whistle was better than more idiocy, and he contented himself with ignoring Tarik for the time being...
Horus just swallowed and recomposed himself, grateful to not have to detach them from each other again.
"We'll have to get the board and cards from the recreation room. Tarik, you haven't finished cleaning punishments from the prank you pulled on Falkus that caused him to shoot a thrall. If I see you again before that task is finished, you become target practice."
Tarik blinked twice before his whistle cut out. He then saluted, looked at Abaddon, made a suggestive gesture and left quickly. Horus just stared a moment in frustration.
"So, the basics of the game...what do you know so far?" he asked, looking back at Abaddon and positioning himself so the first captain couldn't chase and murder the second captain.
Abaddon ignored Tarik, as though he was no longer in the room. The gesture that was made behind his back was completely ignored, though there might be the opportunity to punch him in the face later. It could wait. He was here to learn how to play Cribbage and that was that.
âThere are pegs. I think the number fifteen is relevent,â he added. That was about it, âOh, and you play it with an Imperial Starndard Deck of fifty two cards,â he added.
While he spoke, he began heading towards the recreation room, all the bits they needed for the game would be there, and it would be a relaxed place to learn to play too, so long as Horus was able to remain there unhasselled by others who might want his attention as well.
Meli's gaze falls upon the Despoiler, the Warmaster of Chaos, the Lord of the Black Legion... and she hugs him tightly.
The hug was not unexpected, and perhaps robbed him of some âchaos pointsâ as it was in front of everyone. He didnât care. Abaddon hugged Meli right back, just as tight. âHow you been?â he grunted into her hair.
âKhayon!â cried Meli delightedly, turning to hug him fiercely as well, chaos points be damned. She liked Khayon. He was cute (again, despite all available evidence). She grinned as she stepped back from him.
âYeah Iâm hungry, travelling out here is always a bit shaky in the supplies department. Did your guys manage to keep your little farm alive or are you back to reprocessed corpses for all your food?â
Khayon squeaked at being hugged, in a way most un-chaos-space-marine way. The hug was returned though, and he even dared to smile a bit too; wonders would never cease!
âThe farm has been maintained, and after a few incidents of... mutated carrot, we have managed to keep a degree of stability. Unless you wanted to eat reprocessed corpse of course, then Iâd be happy to oblige you...â
Meli suppressed a giggle. Too cute. Too damn cute.
âYou try to feed me corpse starch and Iâll rip off your arm and eat it, âleast then Iâll have something fresh,â she teased. Probably teased. Maybe. Wizard arm was probably too valuable to be eating, even out here.
Probably.
âGlad to hear youâve been keeping things going, this time Iâm better prepared to visit soâs I brought you along some seeds. Iâll make sure things grow before I leave again. Plants aside though, how are things? You look tired.âÂ
âPlease donât,â Khayon said with a small shake of his head, âI donât want to grow a tenticle in its place.â He needed his hands for wizardry and all manner of sorcerous endevour, a tenticle would make that infinitely more difficult, âMaybe take a leg instead?â
He smiled when she mentioned the seeds, âThank you. I have been working on some projects that have kept me up longer than I should. Sleep is never an easy thing to come by out here and I have not helped myself,â he confessed.
He had managed to bind several new, interesting types of Neverborn however and he found that it had been worth it.
âAw, I dunno. I have loads of fun with tentacles myself. You can use âem for all sorts of things,â she told Khayon with a wink and a sleazy grin.
Just the absolute worst.
âYeah, I know what you mean about the sleep. Even I feel... odd, when I do. It always feels like thereâs someone looking for me who canât find me and itâs not...â she trailed off, staring into space. Itâs not my Perturabo, or anyone else from home. Itâs not someone friendly. Itâs someone who wants to hurt me, and I donât know why they canât find me or what will happen if they do, or if the feeling means anything at all.
âYou are the WORST sort of friend,â Khayon said with a roll of his eyes. He should have seen that one coming, he knew it and yet had still walked right into it. Such an idiot!!
He nodded, though when her words turned into thoughts, he was discreet enough not to answer them put loud. He wasnât sure if he was supposed to have heard them. Still, she was a friend. +Do you wish to explore or talk about that further, or let the matter lie as it is?+ he sent to her.
No one else on the bridge seemed to have picked up on it at least, so there was privacy in the matter still. Good. Some of these clowns were the sort who might capitalise on the knowledge.
+Not unless you know why I get that feeling,+ she replied with the psychic equivalent of a shrug, +Or who's looking for me or why. It's just a weird feeling, that's all. I can live with it. It's the price I'm willing to pay to spend time with you and Zeke and the lads again.+
Absurdly, these words came with a swirl of positive feeling. For whatever awful reason she genuinely liked Khayon and Abaddon and Telemachon and Anamnesis and several other assorted miscreants who lived on (or in one case, was) the Vengeful Spirit.
Khayon nodded, understanding the surge of warm emotion and marroon that came with it. If she was content and not alarmed by the sensation, then he wouldnât be either. If it became a problem, it would be dealt with then. +Very well+ he pulsed back. +It is good to have you back.+
That was no lie either. Abaddon always seemed in a better temper when Meli was around - he could hazard a guess why too. It brought a smile to his lips.
âI am also glad to see you Meli,â came a voice through the shipâs speakers, âYou will have to visit me and tell me your recent tales!â The voice of Itzara, the Anamnesis or Ultio as she was called at times, filled the bridge.
â [[ waywardinquisition ]]
âShe isnât dead,â Abaddon said leaning over the corpse. It was mangled and anyone else would definitely be done in. There was a horrid wound in her chest and if he ever found out who caused it, there would be carnage⊠more carnage⊠He bent down and scooped up the tiny frame.
âAre you sure, she looked very dead to me, no breathing or anything,â Falkus said, striding up to them both.
âShut up. Weâll shove her in a cell and see what happens,â Abaddon said. âWeâre done here anyway, the cultists can finish whatâs left.âIt was a short trip on a thunderhawk back to the Vengeful Spirit, where the Inquisitor was placed in a âcellâ. It wasnât comfortable, hardly anywhere was on the ship anymore, but it was passable. Abaddon looked down at the tiny woman and snorted, âYou better wake up, else I am going to look like a moron,â he said. âI suppose this takes time, Iâll get someone to watch you. See you when you wake up!â
@waywardinquisition
Unfortunately for her, Abaddon was correct. It takes time - a few days at the very least - for her body to regenerate the mangled tissue and lost blood before thereâs a soft sigh as she starts breathing again. Longer still for there to be any other change.Â
Thereâs the familiar, unpleasant disorientation of consciousness returning, but instead of the medical bay on her own ship, she was elsewhere. Somewhere unfamiliar. Somewhere heavily tainted by corruption. It makes her head pound, and a quiet groan escapes as she forces herself up. The stiffness of death had yet to ease from her limbs, joints cracking as they bend for the first time in perhaps days, if not weeks.
Her chest protests the pressure, at the stale and heavily filtered air, and it furthers the queasy sensation. Eirasa did her best to shove it down as she staggers to her feet, investigating the door to the cell. Theyâd be a fool to leave it unlocked, if she was a prisoner⊠how did they knowâŠ?
The moment she started to breathe again, the Despoiler was summoned. It seemed Falkus owed him on account of him thinking otherwise. He felt a pang of relief at that. He had suspected, but he hadnât known for sure until the news had come.
He stomped his way slowly down the corridor - terminator armour had never been quick and time had not changed that. By the time he arrived at the Inquisitorâs cell, she was staggering to her feet. âSo it is true then,â he said when he saw her moving around. She looked like death, appropriate really all things considered.
âI wasnât sure up until now, but no one stays as unmarked as you have over a hundred years of battle. We have a lot to talk about,â he said. She could do things he could only dream of; there were those on this ship, and beyond, who would give a great deal to learn all about what she was capable of... and then find ways to abuse it.
Meli's gaze falls upon the Despoiler, the Warmaster of Chaos, the Lord of the Black Legion... and she hugs him tightly.

đ«what is one thing my muse wouldnât want someone else to know about them?
There are times when he misses his father and how things used to be. Sometimes, he wishes he could go back to those, simpler days before Chaos was invented/discovered. He would never, ever admit this though. Ever.

Oh dude piglins SUCK, the nether is such a dangerous place now! I actually die there now!
Which is why Iâve constructed massive ice tunnels under it to get where I need to go. Theyâre spawn proof, but not if I go afk while halfway through construction and leave spawnable areas near meâŠ
//I only ever go there to get things I need and try to spend as little time there possible. Only biome I have not managed to locate as yet is the blue one. Got the others and thatâs me good to be honest.
I have made a funky wizard tower out of blackstone though, and the roof is on fire because its made of netherrack... some ideas I have are dumb.
