TRANT HEIDELSTAM - "You're not..." The blonde begins to respond, then lets himself trail off. He needs to focus. He finally pulls out a small first aid kit. It's not nearly enough to treat the wounds properly, but enough to dress them to buy a bit of extra time to bring Hardy to a hospital. It flashes through his mind that he should just bring him to the hospital without bothering to spend time on this, but a whole host of other worries quickly pushes the thought away.
There's a twinge in Trant's chest, his nerves telling him to cower and run- this is not his job, nor responsibility, nor should it be. Already, with the man woozy and swaying in his chair, it was too much, overwhelming.
But he bites his tongue and turns to focus on the bloody pants. He starts to roll them up by the hem, but instead backs off after a few moments, wiping sticky, half-dried blood on his suit, dirtying it not by intention but by pure reflex to the sensation. He scans his desk in a split second and grabs a pair of scissors, being careful as he pinches the fabric around the hole and slides the scissors in to cut around and let the material drop loose. All he has to do is pinch a bit further up, and...
He tugs up the remaining bit of pant leg to get it out of the way, and has to take deep breaths to keep himself from spacing out. He opens the first aid kit and grabs a roll of gauze, folding a square-shaped piece a few times on itself before ripping it off the roll. He keeps it held between two fingers while he grabs the medical tape, and rips off pieces of that as well, then presses the gauze to the surface of the gunshot wound he sees and uses the tape to secure it. He's trying to be as gentle as he can, but still has to apply a bit of pressure.
