 Note for the less observant: only the top honchos know the true plan, and even there only few might know about it. For most Thalmorists, it is a war of vengeance against Imperial Oppression and Humiliation as well as liberation of elven kind from “barbarous humans”. You can put your hand on fire that over 95% of Thalmor does NOT want to destroy the world and human population.

Ancano knows about the real aim of the Thalmor, which explains why he seeks to use the Eye of Magnus to undo the world. He's not as high in rank as Elenwen, so perhaps more of the Thalmor know about it than just the leaders.

((I understand... finals are a pain. The best advice I can give is that it's better to just get it over with so you don't have to stress over it anymore. Ronthil followed Ancano into the Arcanaeum. He looked around before walking up to the orc sitting down at the other side of the room, assuming he was the one who could help him find what he needed.. He didn't check if Ancano was following him or not before he started talking. "Hello, you are the librarian here, yes? Would you happen to have any books containing information on Auriel's Bow?" ((fukc idk if the rp au all the blogs are in have found the bow yet or what lets assume not or diff au k))

So it was Auriel's Bow that he sought? That would be quite a grand discovery, and certainly be of interest to the Dominion. From his own research, Ancano knew that the ancient bow was present in Skyrim, however the exact location of it was still a mystery... one that he hoped to solve. Ancano took a seat on one of the benches and pretended to read, while listening intently to Ronthil's conversation with Urag gro-Shub.
