“My Khajiit once heard “You’ll make a fine rug, cat!” from a Khajiit bandit leader. Having read ‘Confessions of a Khajiit Fur Trader’ only a few hours prior, that kill was especially satisfying; I like to believe that after the fur trader escaped his prison cell, he had to flee to Skyrim to start over, only to be killed by his next intended target before he could firmly re-establish his business. Karma at its finest.“

“I am completely in love with Brynjolf. When he calls me lass, I melt into the floor. It breaks my heart that I can’t marry him (I play on console), and I’ve never married because of it. Whenever I think about him, I feel sick because of how sad I am that I can’t marry him. DAMN YOU BETHESDA!!“

“The first time I played through the Dark Brotherhood questline, I didn’t know how it ended. When the Falkreath Sanctuary was destroyed, I started bawling. I was really depressed for about a week because of how much I missed Veezara and Gabriella.“

“In 2012, I submitted a post about how I killed Nazeem in the middle of Whiterun. Now in 2020, I installed a new mod that makes it so the Ebony Warrior is actually Nazeem. I anxiously await this rematch.“

“I have the Cloaks of Skyrim mod, and I always wore an enchanted red hide cloak with my Dark Brotherhood uniform. I think it looks badass and completes the look. But after I found the Sanctity under siege, and saw what the Penitus Oculatus did to everyone it doesn’t look right anymore. I’ve been wearing the black hide cloak for a while now, and I always keep Festus’ Nightweaver band on me. I’m unashamed to say I cried at their deaths, and what happened to everyone. “

“I finally upgraded my Mac to Mojave and its “dynamic wallpaper” is a neat idea but the sand dune is boring. So I’ve reloaded Oldrim and all my visual mods for the sole purpose of taking 16 time-lapse shots of Nilheim from the island in Lake Geir. It’s my favorite view in Skyrim and now I get to watch the sun rise and set over it while I’m working.“

“Hermaeus Mora’s voice is pretty much the best evil mastermind voice I can think of. Since I’ve heard his voice in the Dragonborn DLC, I’ve been using it for all of my biggest bad guys in my DnD campaign! “

“The first time I played the Thieves Guild Blindsighted quest I almost passed out on my computer. I have a phobia of being underwater and when the water started to rise in the chamber I was so absorbed in the game I held my own breath. And thus when I couldn’t Find the exit in the game I was still holding by breath and finally after panicking realized what I was doing and had to lie on the floor because my head was swimming. Still traumatized because of that quest.“

“I once spent about a week of real time stealing every dairy product across all nine holds, slaughtering everything that could reasonably assumed to produce milk, and filling Ulfric Stormcloak’s entire War Room with dairy. I did this because “Milk Drinker” is an insult and dude there are maybe Six Argonians in all of skyrim and None of those have super dope plumage except the one he almost got executed with. I never completed the civil war quests as a non-human because I couldn’t rationalize the character fighting for either side because literally everybody involved in the war is just, I wouldn’t trust them to walk dogs let alone lead troops, okay?“

“I’m always a diehard imperial in skyrim purely because I look at it from an economic standpoint. If the stormcloaks win the Civil War then skyrim will be isolated completely. Everyone around them is under the empire who obviously won’t like them and then morrowind and who knows whats going on there. Basically if skyrim leaves the empire the entire province will collapse economically and the aldmeri dominion will start to work their way in via smuggling then outright trade monopolies or just straight up bullying skyrim traders into awful trade deals. If that doesn’t work they can just invade skyrim. I don’t think one province thats already ruined by civil war can stop the aldmeri dominion.But if skyrim joins the empire they have easier trade with cyrodiil hammerfell and highrock plus aid from the imperial legion.“

“I used to think that the civil war question of who to side with was a balanced and nuanced thing, with even pros and cons on each side, but almost ten years later from the release of Skyrim… and the revelation of just how bad the Empire’s citizens have it in Cyrodiil, and I’m now sure it’s really completely one sided in favor of the Stormcloaks. Even if everything the Imp fans said about Ulfric was true, and it’s not, the Empire is far worse in every regard, especially racism. It’s in the name… “Imperials”. Plus, they didn’t even try to stop the Dunmer from having slaves after all, but they have time to interfere in Nord politics. Add all that up and yea, Skyrim is For the Nords 100%. I’m sure the citizens in the heart of Cyrodiil that they left to the loving care of warlords and the Thalmor would agree.“
