Mega was curled in a ball, bawling in pain. He was severely damaged in his heart. He was unstable, melting and losing form

Annie’s first instinct was to run over and hug Mega, but he knew from personal experience that wouldn’t end well. He took a deep breath to calm his nerves as he slowly approached.

“M-Mega? Hey, what ha-appened?”

“L…o…t..u…s..!….” He said in a distorted voice, continuing to sob. He grips his chest

Annie frowned in understanding. He knew the pain Mega felt all too well. He knelt before Mega and tapped the ground in a familiar pattern.

“M-Mega, I-I want you t-to listen to me. I need you t-to breathe deep, c-can you do t-that for me?”

Mega looked up at him, with a melting face

Annie stayed still, not wanting to startle the melting demon before him. A look of understanding painted Annie’s face.

Mega slowly crawled towards him, leaving a ink trail. He put his head in his lap. He was shaking softly, slowly regaining form

The anxious demon shifted slightly to allow Mega to rest his head on his thigh. A gentle hand smoothed over Mega’s head in hopes of giving him some kind of physical comfort. He smiled and began humming a gentle tune.
