kinda weird how the only BFB characters who people say are children/“child coded” are the ones who lack verbal skills. like saying that not being able to vocalize “correctly” makes you a kid…hmm…..
(before you say “yea dumbass they’re kids and they just can’t talk because kids are like that dumbass” or smth: the point is that these characters literally have no confirmed ages and it’s not an ok assumption to think someone is a child because they don’t communicate conventionally)
i’m not too sure about grassy, but in rocky’s case i think it’s also because balloony refers to him as “little one”, which can be interpreted as an endearing nickname for a child (similarly to “kid”, “kiddo”, “sport” etc.)
i was talking about mainly grassy and woody, but i can kinda see for rocky where some people come from? but ive heard those nicknames used between adults as an endearing thing as well and i dont think its safe to say hes ‘canonically’ a child because of this
