Hi guys! Just wanted to give a quick update while I’m thinking about it. I’m going to start by giving a warning for the brief mention of death, especially relating to family members.

So, my blog’s been on a semi-hiatus for a little bit, as originally we were moving and I had to put my energy into that instead. Unfortunately, that semi-hiatus is going to continue for, likely, a few months or more.

On top of still unpacking and fixing up our house, I’m going through some health issues that affect my ability to update, and there’s been two deaths in my household fairly close to one another. The most recent of which has also left me without a job and stable source of income, as my job prior to now was working as a home health aide.

This is going to put a massive strain on our ability to pay monthly bills, and for my ability to continue going to therapy, so right now my blogs are going to be put on the back-burner while I figure out my next steps. I'm considering opening commissions while I look for more stable jobs, so I’ll keep you all updated if I choose to do that.

Thank you guys for reading and being patient with me, and I’ll do my best to update when I can, but I wanted to be honest and say that it may take a while to get into the swing of things again.

More birds

I would like to present some more of the birds of the AU.. because bird people are apparently all I know how to draw lmao

Allow me to introduce: 🥁🥁🥁🥁

Henriette (Left), a 3rd year hero student and her girlfriend Eskja (right), who does... not heroic things. They love each other very much and I have so many jokes about burnt chicken

Then we have little Lumikki, she's just a baby who loves frogs. She's the baby sister of my other character Mikkel (Who Kaz was amazing enough to draw for >this post<)

AND finally, Mrs. Abígael, who's a relative of the Henriksens as she's Vilhelm's half-sister! And she's the mom of Krákur, who can also be seen in Kaz's bird post!

Just a small art dump from today because honestly.. Why the fuck not, right?

Buuuut, like I said in my last post, I still draw for this AU but I just don’t post shit because it’s almost always characters that haven’t and won’t make an appearance on here.

But I’m gonna post them anyway because It’s a shame to let these sit and gather dust outside of the server.

We’ve got Agda, A familiar face for anyone who’s followed my blogs… my beloved… I love you.

And this is my girl Rakel, she’s the youngest of my Swedens. And she’s a little feral but I love her, and she’s in the second year support course.

And this is Ragnhild She’s one of my many Icelands, she’s a third year hero student. She’s completely FERAL and I love her very much… She’s a centaur and she’s got sharp teeths…

I awake this blog from the dead almost exclusively to just drop this doodle page of Inge down.. Don’t come at me for their Bunad, I am far too lazy to draw the embroidery.

I think about them and the rest of this cursed ass AU pretty much 24/7 with the rest of the gang.. 

I would drop more of the art I draw on the blog but like 80% of who I draw are all characters who haven’t been introduced on the blog yet.

HI, I bring an apology for my inactivity in the form of a shirt-cut meme, featuring a character of mine I haven’t introduced on here, Gróa! But I hope you guys love her nonetheless. (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧

M: “Ooooonkel, you’ve got fans! Do ya wanna say hi?”

???: “..What?”

M: “Remember when I told you about my blog? I was talkin’ about what was goin’ on in my life recently, and I brought up when Gisila beat yer ass a few months ago! Now the people wanna see ya!”

[ The camera turns on and, after focusing for a few seconds, shows a brunet man leaning back in an office chair, looking somewhere behind the camera with a raised eyebrow. ]

???: “..So you want to make fun of me, is what I’m gathering from this.”

M: “Nah, I could make fun of ya even without the cameras rollin’! I think they just wanna know who you are, since they know the rest of the family, but they’ve nev- OH WAIT, no! I have shown a photo of you on here before! But still, that’s an old photo by now!”

???: “You’ve shown photos of me before?”

M: “I completely forgot about that! It was the photo Ingrid took at Christmas last year. The family photo, not the one where you were passed out in the front yard with the sprinklers on.”

???: “Ah.”

[ Mat can be heard whooping behind the camera, giving a thumbs up just barely in frame. ]

M: “HELL YEAH! That’s what I like ta see! A smile would be nice, but I get it, you can’t show off all yer good qualities in the first post!”

???: “Hey-”

How many siblings do you both have?

Alfred: “Well you’ve already met my younger brother, Lou! But did you know that I’m a twin?!”

Alfred: “Yep!! He just sent me this picture last week! His name is Mattie, and he’s a photographer! We’ve got the same quirk, and he did start out in the Hero course when we were in high school, but decided that wasn’t for him ‘n moved into more art programs!! Man, I wish he’d come visit, I miss him!! And his doggy!!! And I wanna meet that new kitten!!!”

Ivan: “I.. I also have two siblings. One is my younger sister, Natalia.”

Ivan: “She is a teacher back home in Russia. She also, has the same quirk as I do, but she does not teach Hero studies. She mainly teaches children in elementary school and sometimes substitutes in higher levels.  ... I.. I have mentioned my older sister before. I do not wish to talk about it.”

What is your favorite thing to do in your work class?

H: “I assume this was meant for Inge and Ludwig... But they’re busy, apparently they’re UBER focused on their projects... SO FIELD TRIP! I’ll take you guys down to the labs so we can go say hi, we might catch them doing their favorite thing, or if not, I’ll ask!”

H: “It’s been a while since I’ve gone and pestered the support students!”

[Hannibal grinned as he messed with the camera, pulling it from wherever he had it mounted.]

H: “Uhh, let’s go find Ludwig first! Hold on!”

[The screen momentarily goes black as the video cuts. The scene has changed, It’s a woodshop now, Ludwig is sitting at a worktable.]

H: “Hey Luuudwig, whatcha’ up to?”

[The other jumps a little at the sudden voice before turning to face Hannibal and the camera. His eyes moving between looking at the camera and at the person behind it, unsure as to where he should be looking.]

L: “Ah, Hannibal.“

L: “I was just pre-”

H: “-Yeah cool! Anyway! An anon from the blog was asking what your favorite thing to do in the shops was. And I knew you were busy doing your thing and wouldn’t have time or energy to answer it for yourself. So what’s your favorite thing to do?”

L: “Before I answer, I do have to ask you to put some safety glasses on. Shop rules, you can not be within the work space here without them. No exceptions.”

[There’s a groan from the younger as Ludwig motions off to the side, and there’s some purposefully heavy footsteps. The camera stays in place while Hannibal moves around the shop. But soon they return and Ludwig nods.]

L: “To answer the question though. I find the most joy working with small mechanics, like those found in old pocket watches.”

H: “Oh that’s cool! Maybe you could fix up one of my pa’s old watches one day! But thanks Ludwig! Do you know where Inge is?”

L: “Probably in the welding shop next door. Keep the gl-”

[The video cuts again mid sentence before it starts again. This time with Hannibal kicking a door open to reveal a series of welding booths, and a figure seated at a temporary table with work mounted and grounded up. It seemed like they were about to start their next arc.]

[But instead their head immediately shot up with the bang of the doors opening, and with a practiced movement, the welding visor flung up so the person could make eye contact.]

H: “Hej Hej Hej! Inge! Are yo-”

I: “And keep those glasses on your face not your head, Last I knew you didn’t have eyes on the top of your-... And put proper shoes on! I don’t care if you’ve got tungston for feet and I’m using TIG, Hejdie is in a booth and she’s got stick going.”

I: “We go over this every time kid. You have to wear the proper PPE if you want to hang out in here, even for a minute or two. Your eyes are sensitive enough as is, you don’t need to be getting flashed. Hanna would kill you and me if she caught you standing around with skin showing, open toed foot wear and glasses on top your head.”

H: “Everything you just said means nothing to me... And you say ‘flashed’ like being flashed is a bad thing!”

[Hannibal cackles a little while Inge huffs and sets their things aside. Standing from their chair and flipping their machine off. Shooing Hannibal back into the hall before following behind him.]

I: “So. What did you need?”

H: “OH! RIGHT! An Anon from the blog asked what your favorite thing to do in your work classes was!”

I: “Hmm. Well, I enjoy working on quirk compatibility... Like figuring out how to get Mathias’ prosthesis to use his quirk. It’s a lot of fun, and I get to know lots of people and their quirks!”

I: “But home is just behind me. Welding is my favorite thing to do even though I don’t do much of it. I hope that answers the question.”

H: “Aah, OKAY! Okay, you can go back to your metal sewing.”

[His hand waves in front of the camera at Inge, they give him a tired but amused look before slipping back into the shop without another word.]

[The video cuts and resumes once again. Now we’re back to where we started, Hannibal sits in front of the camera again and just smiles.]

H: “I hope that answers your question Anon!”

H: “If you want to know more about something, just send in an ask! I’ve got friends in every department and year so I can take you all around the school on these trips. They’re a lot of fun to do!”
