When i was little i’d say ‘i’d love to meet ripley & tell her, she’s amazing.’ 20 something years later, i finally got to! I was shaking, dizzy and in total awe of meeting this women. She was gracious, attentive & in no rush. Her face lit up when i told her, my way of thanking her was to name my daughter after the role that set her career off. She said she was honored and loved the name. :D i’m still beaming over all of this. It made everything we’ve done & put up with at this con, worth it. My idol is pleased with me, validating & approved my daughters name. All is right with the world!

And now the long drive home. Worth everything.

SCP-049 - The Plague Doctor, requested by, Anonymous

There’s a lot of art of this SCP. All of it sharing the same design. I wanted to do something totally different and colorful. I based the design on the famous Doktor Shnabel von Rom engraving by, Paul Furst from 1656, even used the same pose. I also tried to stick close to the entry by trying to depict his uniform as an actual part of his body. Not sure if that comes across very well, but I really like how it came out overall.
