so, two years back, my very dear father was put in prison for doing some not very dear things to me. but i spend a lot of my time being horribly, profoundly lonely, and have always been a little past half way mad. now im off and on suicidal, and is it bad that i blame myself for him being arrested, and i miss him terribly?

I'm very sorry to hear about your situation. Unfortunately, I can't give very sound advice, as I myself haven't experienced this.

It'll be difficult to move on, but do your best to remember that your father treated you badly without justification; there's no reason to put the blame on yourself. I understand that you would miss him. I understand that you're lonely. And I want you to make new friends and talk to current ones to help the loneliness. It's such a great help to find a good friend in whom you can confide and trust. If you don't feel comfortable with that, though, take your time. Take a moment to sit in silence and reflect. In time, you might feel a bit better. Recovery from any sort of damage definitely takes time and patience.

It's tough as nails to get past the feeling of guilt and loneliness, and I'm very glad you're courageous enough to talk about your struggle. All I can really say is that it happens, and it's heart-wrenchingly terrible. If you ever need to talk, you are very welcome to message me whenever you like.

I hope you can find some comfort in this response.
