If you had a chance to be anyone for a whole day, who would you be and why?
Why exactly would I want to be anyone else? I already can turn into a dragon. Plus I love who I am as a person. Being someone else would be boring don’t you think?

ask-thelostgirl:
Emma clenched her lips together and nodded. Professor Doryu started being intimating and assuming that she was going to be another professor that would give Emma a hard time, Doryu suddenly let Emma off with a warning to not be late in the future. Emma was shocked for a moment considering her experience with some of the professors lately, but Emma was appreciative to not have points taken from her house this time. “Thank you.” Emma found her seat and tried to ignore the looks of various students judging her for her tardiness. Surely they knew what it was like to be late on your first full day… Emma found the page they were on and tired her best to do well with the remaining class time, but she felt somewhat lost on the material she had missed. Once everyone left the classroom, Emma stood up and approached Professor Doryu’s desk. “Excuse me, Professor.” She gave the woman a polite smile, “I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind going over the portion that I missed? Or I can come by your office at a time that is better for you.”

Mal had always been a stern and tough professor. She had been there for nearly nine years and had been the same way the entire time she had taught there. She modeled her classroom and her teaching style after her mentor, Professor McGonagall. Mal had always admired how McGonagall commanded the room and how tough she had been on everyone. She was sure that that was why she had gained the attention of her once favorite professor and became the Deputy Headmistress. She hadn’t focused on the Gryffindor’s tardiness throughout her class but she didn’t have to to know that her treat still stood. She would always take points from any student who disrespected her rules. Mal looked up when Emma approached her. She normally wasn’t so kind about tardiness but she felt for the girl. She wouldn’t want her to get behind either. “I suppose I have a moment to spare now.”
askthejadedmills:
For the best interest of Hogwarts… Zelena knew it was true, knew how much the school meant to Mal. It meant just as much to her. This school had been more of a welcoming home than her own, the professors far superior and supportive figures than her own mother. Professor Snape had been quite influential to her. So many had hated him, but she couldn’t. He may not have seemed it but he was kind to her.
Zelena knew Mal felt the same sense of belonging at the school, had discussed it a few times with her in the past. It was why the redhead knew she couldn’t stand in her way of moving up the ranks. While the school had been good for them, Mal was good for the school’s present and future success. Though she wanted to be, she couldn’t really be angry or hurt or disappointed if Mal was needed elsewhere. And she had been expecting the blonde to sigh and make her apologies, promise to get together another time. That expectation hadn’t prepared her for her actual answer.
“Really? You’re choosing me?” Zelena’s face lit up, a dazzling smile appearing. How she wanted to throw her arms around the blonde she was so giddy, even letting out a giggle before biting her lip. “Where shall we spend our time?”
It both warmed her heart and saddened her to see how excited Zelena got at her choosing her over Minerva. Was Zelena not used to be chosen or put first? Was that her mother’s doing and did Mal add to that last year when she had choose Hogwarts over Zelena? Mal had known all about Cora Mills and her treatment of her daughters. It sickened her that the wrong people became parents and that sometimes the people who’d make good parents weren’t given the opportunity. Mal herself had always wanted to be a good mother to her own daughter, but there were certain circumstances that prevented her from doing so - which was part of the reasons she hated her ex as much as she did.
With a quick glance around to see if anyone could see them, Mal reached over and gave the other’s hand a quick squeeze. She pulled away almost immediately. No one was around them but unfortunately there were professors and students both still lingering in the stands. They could see them together and think of them as just friends but she knew that everyone at this school loved gossip and spreading rumors, and she’d hate for herself or Zelena to be apart of those rumors. “My room isn’t that far away from here. Or if you’d like to get out of the castle for a moment, there is always a lovely little place in Hogsmead I’ve always loved to go to.”
ask-ifwehaveavocados:
Ruby wasn’t sure how her professor was going to react, but being a woman who could turn into a dragon surely she had to be understanding. She shifted a little uncomfortably in her seat, not sure of how Professor Doryu was feeling towards her. “Not that long. Since right before the summer holiday.” She had changed only five times since she had been bitten, but it all still felt so new to her. Ruby wondered if she would ever get used to it.
Mal nodded. So she was a younger werewolf. She knew how hard and exhausting that must be on the body and really couldn’t imagine what Ruby must be going through. The only thing she could remember was her time learning how to be an animagus and how painful that had been. But that transformation had been her choice. It was different than what the girl was going through, that much was clear, but that didn’t mean that Mal couldn’t do her best to support her student. “I’m sorry to hear that Ruby. Have you told anyone about this?”
askthefairestqueen:
Regina leaned back in her seat as the Ravenclaw professor walked inside the office. She looked somewhat nervous, and the Slytherin had found it rather amusing to see that confident figure of authority in such a difficult position. Did the other professor suspect Regina might have known something was going on between her and her sister? She didn’t need to wonder for much longer. Her colleague hadn’t bothered with small talks and went straight to the point. Regina couldn’t help but grin. “Is that all it is? Rumors? Because I think we both know it is more than that, Mal. My sister is a terrible liar when I push her buttons.”
Mal turns and bites her lip at the accusation of her lover. Zelena wouldn’t betray her that way would she? Not when Mal’s career could potentially be on the line should the truth come out. At least that had been what she had thought McGonagall had said to her when she took the position and signed the contract. If Regina knew, that meant that the whole school did as well. Was Regina the one who had started the rumor going around school? No, she wouldn’t let herself think so negatively of the woman who had shone her nothing but kindness. After all, Mal had been the one to seek the other woman out and come here to talk. She wasn’t sure if she’d actually come there to tell Regina the truth, though it would be nice to have a confidant in her relationship (though she doubted that Regina, the sister of her love should really be that position, but Mal did not have that many friends). Instead, she decides to keep her expression netural, letting Regina be the one to dictate how the rest of this conversation should go. “Oh, and did she tell you something about me?”
HP AU: What would amortentia smell like to you?
I’d imagine that it would smell of tea, and jasmine, and something else. Something that was distinctly Zelena hard to name.
[hp au] what would be you illvermorny house?
Most likely a Horned Serpent or a Wampus. My daughter was a Wampus when she attended there and I’d love to believe that her and I are alike enough to be sorted into the same House.
HP AU: What do you think of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger?
I did not know any of those people personally, but Lily Evans (or Potter as you may know her) was always the kindest Gryffindor to me. She was a few years older than me in school and I remember how devastated I was at learning about her death.... I even named my daughter after her just because of her kindness. If Harry is anything like his mother, than he’ll always have a place in my heart as well. I do know that they were very brave for doing all that they did for the Magical community, especially at their young age and for them I will always be grateful because the world is better now.
[hp au] Thoughts on Albus Dumbledore and thoughts on Lord Voldemort?
Albus Dumbledore will always be my favorite headmaster. He was my headmaster when I attended here all those years ago and I will always respect him. As for Voldemort.... I’m upset I didn’t get the chance to kill him or his loyal followers myself. The world is much better now that he’s gone.
HP AU: Favorite potion?
Draught of Living Death, I mean the Draught of Peace
HP AU: What's your favourite spell?
Amato Animo Animato Animagus always has a special place in my heart.
HP AU: If you had to, would you rather fight a basilisk or a dragon?
I refuse to ever harm another dragon, unless in self-defense. Really, dragons are the most understood of all magical creatures.
HP AU: Favourite magical creature?
Isn’t obvious dear? Dragons of course.
HP AU: If you were an animagus, what creature would you like to turn into? What would you do with your animagus powers?
My sweet dear child. I am an animagus. I am a registered animagus and everything. And what I’d do with my powers... well that’s for me to know. Let’s just say, don’t ever dare to cross me.
askthejadedmills:
Zelena turned to face the blonde as she responded and couldn’t keep the smile from forming. She could listen to Mal speak about anything for as long as she could and never tire of hearing her voice. The way she spoke was unlike others; she held authority and dignity. And it made Zelena wonder what the woman saw in her. Mal could have anyone. She could do anything. Yet here she was in that moment with her.
The idea of McGonagall insisting on rehashing the same meeting over and over to make sure everything was perfect rang true of the elder witch. She had always been strict and stubborn, so bless Mal for having the patience.
“Oh my day looks quite uneventful. I have some office hours set aside today. In fact it looks like it will be rather dull, especially if you’re duties as Deputy Headmistress are to keep you occupied today. I do hope Minerva appreciates how lucky she is to receive your companionship. Indeed I could say I’m almost jealous.”
Mal didn’t want to admit how adorable she found it when Zelena admitted that she was jealous of their Headmistress. It wasn’t like she had anything to even be jealous of. Mal and Minerva were friends and even when Mal was younger she had always viewed the older woman as a mentor. After all, she had always been her favorite professor. And she was still her mentor. She looked up to her in her classroom and even went to her for advice when she wasn’t sure what to teach and when. But the way Mal felt about the two women were completely different and she wished she could just scream that off of rooftops for all to hear.
The urge to tuck a stray strand of hair behind Zelena’s ear surged through her. Mal had to refrain since they were not alone, not completely and anyone could see them. They needed to take this somewhere more private. She smiled and shook her head. “Minerva definitely does not know how lucky she is nor does she appreciate all I do for her. But I’m okay with that, simply because I know that all I do for her, I am really doing for the best interest of Hogwarts.” And that was true. Had Mal not loved Hogwarts so much, then she wouldn’t be putting herself through this unnecessary pain. She wouldn’t be denying herself happiness with Zelena if it had not been for the school and her positions she held there.
“Let me tell her that we need to postpone the meeting. I think I’d much rather spend time with you than with her.” That was always true. Mal simply always wished that she could have more time to just be with those that she loved.
HP AU: If you were forced to use an unforgivable curse, which one would you choose?
I think that would depend on why I was being forced to cast the curse in the first place and who I was dueling against. For my child, I would use any of the curses I needed to keep her safe, even if it meant spending the rest of my days in Azkaban.
ask-ifwehaveavocados:
Ruby made sure the door was closed before going to sit across from Professor Doryu’s desk. Her condition had started at the end of the previous school year and while she had wanted to tell her favorite professor then, it had been so new and scary, she hadn’t been sure how to do it. Now it was still scary, but she hadn’t been able to figure out how to stop the change from happening every month so here she was to explain herself. She quickly shook her head, not questioning how her professor knew she was also interested in girls. “No, I’m not seeing anyone.” Ruby ran a hand through her hair and took a deep breath before looking up into Professor Doryu’s eyes. If anyone would understand even a little of what she was going through it was this woman. “I’m a werewolf. I couldn’t do my work because I was running through the forbidden forest and howling at the moon.”
Mal seemed to instantly soften at the girl’s admission. She had met many different werewolves in her day, hell had even been a student a few years younger than Remus Lupin himself. She didn’t fear them nor was she against them like some of the others in the magical community all seemed to be. But she knew that the road that Ruby was about to go on was not going to be an easy one. She sighed and ran her hand through her hair. It wasn’t often that Mal was left speechless. “I... when you walked in here saying you couldn’t do your homework, I admit that I wasn’t quite expecting that to be your answer.” Mal did her best to gather her thoughts before speaking again. “How long has this been going on?”
