Hi! Iām new here! Do any of the boys like to read? If so, what are their favorite books?(Iām really just asking this because I need book recommendations) Also, are there any tv shows or musicals that they like? Sorry to bother you.
(Youāre not a bother, and welcome! I may take a while to respond to asks, Iām just trying to put thought into my answers. And I donāt really know of many tv shows, but Iāve read most of the books that i put in the answer for this, I hope you end up liking at least one of them š)
Your vision blurs, and then you see before you a sparse bedroom, with grey carpeting and beige walls. Thereās someone asleep under the covers, and you can see a head of blonde hair resting on a pillow. Playbills are stuck on the wall opposite the bed, you can see one for Wicked, Grease, Hamilton, Matilda, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, Phantom of the Opera, Beauty and the Beast, and the Lion King. In one corner of the room sits a bookshelf, and you catch a glimpse of a few of the titles within it. The three biggest books are labelled Mary Poppins, The Priory of the Orange Tree, and The Lord of the Rings respectively. The Song of Achilles is displayed with some prominence, seated comfortably atop another two books, one labelled Girls of Paper and Fire and the other The Silence of the Girls.Ā
The room blurs, and you see a different room, this one with dark blue carpet and plain white walls. Thereās no-one in sight, but you can hear the sound of people talking drifting in through the open door. This room also has a bookshelf, but this one looks mostly to be filled with textbooks. The only non-textbook books on it are a red tome labelled The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, and another labelled The Murder of Roger Ackroyd. Across the room, under a pinboard stuck to the wall, a green book labelled Wuthering Heights sits on an empty desk. Thereās a bookmark near the beginning of Wuthering Heights, and what looks like a library label on the spine. You hear the sound of footsteps, but before you can see who it is your vision blurs again.
The new room has walls the colour of an early sunset, with the gradient to match. You can see a couple of what look like recipe books and a diary sitting on a blue armchair, and a few dark green booklets and pamphlets in a neat pile in a different chair, but there seems to be no other books in sight.Ā
The now-familiar blur overtakes your vision, and this newest room is perhaps the most interesting to look at out of all the rooms youāve seen so far. Pale purple walls, spiderweb patterned carpet, and curtains the colour of clouds on a stormy day. A gothic black wardrobe has been repurposed into a bookshelf and vanity, Melting Stones, The Shadow Throne, and all but the first two of the Harry Potter books decorating the shelves. Thereās a poster for Beetlejuice the musical, Heathers, and a multitude of emo bands. A person is asleep in the bed, the covers pulled over their head.Ā The vision fades.Ā
(Just figured Iād let you all know, if an ask isnāt directed to any of the characters, Iāll either answer it like this or just tell you if I donāt feel the need to be super flowery.)
