Naomi is basically what Cat Wheeler (Character shown on the original yj script) would had been but without the crush on Coach Ben
Naomi graduated from college with honors in a psychology major, making her the first in her family to go to college, where she met Ben Scott, Paul, and the woman who years later would become her wife.
She left Wiskayok after graduating and years later she returned because she hated her hometown and missed everything she left behind in that city when she left.
She applied and then got accepted into Wiskayok High where she worked as the guidance counselor until the flight 2525 plane crash, which she went on after being convinced by Bill Martinez who thought the girls would need some emotional support in case of nerves before nationals or in the event that they lost.
Despite her profession, Naomi is a woman with very little patience to deal with certain stuff, which makes her well known by the students of Wiskayok High due to her psychology methods which, despite being unorthodox, always end up working.
She is a very nurturing and maternal woman, she tends to act like the mother of most yellowjackets without even realizing, even taking time to help Travis and Javi work out their differences and helping Jackie through the depression she suffered during her time in the Wilderness.
When the flight 2525 crashed she was sitting next to Coach Martinez on the plane, and while he got ejected from said plane she got down and held onto the armrest of her seat for her life, an idea that saved her from being impaled by a metal bar that came out of the plane’s ceiling when it crashed.
After the crash she takes the role of the mother/harvester.
Naomi had a hard time adapting to having to share a very small cabin with a lot of teenagers and a man she hated, but she quickly picked up the pace, gathering edible berries and plants she found in the woods and occasionally helping Laura Lee clean the cabin.
She is a very superstitious woman and a faithful believer of the wilderness, but not because of Lottie, because of Cabin guy. She has an irrational feeling that Cabin Guy is more important than the girls think. She doesn't see him as just any old lumberjack or hunter, she has a feeling that his death was caused by something terrible.
Finding out about her pregnancy
While all the girls had their periods in sync Naomi noticed that hers didn’t arrived yet, at first she was surprised but thought it was due to the stress of the crash. That was until one day she went behind some trees to pee and while she was peeing she noticed the bump she was growing, she was very surprised that was happening to her because she was barely eating, but as she touched it she remembered the in-vitro fecundation she went under before the crash.
She was in absolute denial from that statement, she was happy that the search for a baby had finally paid off but she really didn't wanted to give birth in the middle of the forest.
In the adult timeline she's the co-author of ''skin in the game (the unauthorified story of flight 2525)'' along with Paul after she told him a relatively light version about what happened out there

She ran away with Ben after having killed Britt and having taken Javi's body in order to stop the girls from eating him
In the adult timeline (s1-s2) she spend a few months at Camp Green Pine until the hunt of season 2 (which she did not witnessed because she was out of town visiting her daughter but she did witnessed the aftermath when the ambulance arrived and Nat died)
In s3 she was put to trial along with Ben but she was miraculously found innocent and then kept tied in the barn while Robin and Akilah took care of her daughter
She was the only and the last person who mailed Lottie when she was on the psych yard for the second time
Shauna gave her the choice of joining them if she ate Ben with them, to which Naomi reductably agreed because she just had to protect her daughter
She actually enjoys Hannah's company -sometimes, very little times- but she will never admit it
