Chris speed walks her way over to the blankets, ignoring the chatter behind her. Finding a suitable spot to nest she flops down on the pillows and gestures for the Lucario to do the same.

“Alright bud I think I heard something bout food and evolution somewhere in that speil. For food we have our own crops that can grow on the clouds and we’ve learned how to make it into all kinds of foods. Don’t ask me how though I’m not a chef or farmer. We’re omnivorous too so if someone really wanted to they could hunt down some other mon flying close by. That’s not as common though.

“To become a ceileon an Eevee just has to touch a sky stone like any other evolution stone. They’re found in high altitude clouds and rarely fall to the earth. We got a nice little ceremony for a kids evolution day. Alright take a second to think about what your next question will, and ask just that one. And then you can ask another after it’s been answered.”

Phil's eyes shined brightly as if he was a riolu getting a new toy, tail wagging frantically as he sat down next to his new friend

Sooooo cool! Sky Stones, Cloud Crops?! Its all so fascinating! Ok ok what do I wanna know next........Oh! Since you live in a kingdom how does it thrive, like do you sell things or trade? How do you guys maintain a place that big?

With all these questions Phil had you would have though he was a professor writing a book about lost species of pokemon, and he was just getting started

Chris taps her paws as she took a moment to figure out how to explain it best. “Economy junk alright. So we do have our own currency system but there is a heavy enthesis on trade. The currency is more for incase you don’t have what the other person would want to trade for. This all contained to our own kingdom, no trade or selling with outside sources till recently. Community is pretty imporatant so it’s common to share what you have too if you see someone who needs it. We try our best to make sure everyone at least has the minimum for a healthy life.

The kingdom is run by a king, or queen, and their council. They make all the rules and junk. We have guards and such throughout the kingdom to protect people and make sure the important rules aren’t being broken. I’m actually one of the head guards, not much action goes on there most you gotta watch out for is kids wandering too close to the edge. Well until now, gotta keep an eye on the visitors.

We stick together and help each other out so everyone gets heard. A happy kingdom makes for a good one especially when you have no one else to contact for help.”

Phil listened attentively making sure to remember everything that was said so he could tell Okko later

Interesting, now about that guard how do you go about training and recruiting? Is it pre-determined? Do you have to sign up? Is there a scouting event?

Phil tried to be as detailed as possible to get as much info as he could, he was truly interested in learning all he could for the possibility of a trip there

“Now that’s something I know about. Alright so after a kids gone through schooling and evolution they can take up an apprenticeship with whatever job they want to do. You could start a bit latter or earlier of course but that’s the common time peeps do it. So throughout the year there’ll be essentially apprentice sigh up fairs where you can go find the group you want and get your name in.

For guards you’ll go through a learning program that like school first. Mostly paperwork instead of on the job stuff. After passing that and the personality examination you’ll get to shadow your mentor where you can learn on th job. Throughout there’s physical training to make sure you can fight and defend properly. After successfully shadowing your given an assessment to see if your ready to graduate into a full gaurd. From there you can work your way up the ranks by proving yourself capable. Training usually takes a few years before your ready. Gotta make sure your up to snuff and not some power hungry jerk.”

Alright. And about school is it all one big class or is it different levels?

“Schooling is done in groups seperated by levels. Typically you stay in a level until you can pass, so if someone’s struggling with something they can stay until they’ve been helped before moving on and if someone else is excelling they can keep moving forward. There’s multiple classes per level too with different focuses and it’s just practical considering the number of kids we got.”

Chris gives a little smirk, “Id honestly be surprised if ya did. I’m a ceileon, a flying type evolution of Eevee. Most wouldn’t know about them. The species has been in hiding since some war that happened forever ago, the kingdom only recently open up again for visitors.”

No way! Are you serious?! A new evolution of eevee?! That's so awesome! Please tell me everything you can! I heard you mention a war what happened?!

Phil would eventually start speaking so fast that it would be hard to understand him

Chris’s ears pull back at the sudden barrage of questions. Sheesh would everyone react like this, maybe she’d be better off just giving vague answers about her costume. “WOAH! Slow down there bud! I can only listen and answer so fast. So one question a time dude. I can tell ya what I can but your better off asking Miguel the history junk since he was actually ya know there.” She flaps a paw over her shoulder in the direction of her companions. “We can find somewhere to sit and have a nice, SLOW, chat if you want. But ya seriously need to calm down a bit.”

She shrugs at the Lucario, “eh don’t worry about it bud. Practically every species is new to me so the novelty has worn off a bit. I only lived down here for a few years before moving up there, and even then didn’t get out much.”

She stretches out, giving her wings a couple of flaps, “Alright let’s go sit so you can start the interview.” She begins to lead Phil towards the blankets near the fire.
