Do you like winter, Ammy? What kind of things do you do when the weather's cold?

Ammy: I love winter! I get to run around in the snow all day! And I love the food people make in winter! Like Oden* and Nabe**!

*Oden is a popular Japanese hot pot, which includes daikon radish, hanpen (fish cakes), chikuwa (fish cakes), boiled eggs, konnyaku (yam cake), and more. These ingredients are simmered in kelp-based soup stock for hours

**Nabe is a hot pot where you can put in all sorts of ingredients, like veggies and meats, to cook together before eating. Usually a family style meal.
