My first Toontown piece in a while - my Corporate Clash Toon, Sergeant Sunny Fuzzyflapper!

I drew this mainly to celebrate the fact that Sunny is now the highest-laff Toon I have ever had after he reached 122 this week. I of course credit the Corporate Clash team for making so many sorely-needed adjustments to the game for making this possible. I’m also considering introducing Sunny into my Toontown comic universe if there is any interest.

Just remembered that the song Cartoon Heroes exists, decided to listen to the Speedy Mix during the pie round of a VP, hit play as soon as I jumped up to get my pies and the song lasted exactly long enough to end JUST as I teleported into the Daisy Gardens playground.

I promise I’ll get to digging through that askbox pretty soon. But first I wanted to share another update about my in-game progress. I guess getting to 100 laff isn’t a big deal at all for most, but it is for me because it’s the first time I’ve done it since my original Toon. It’s, for me, the first sign that I’m really building back to where I had been, and that the game is alive enough for it to be possible.

So thanks to all the Toons of Toontown Rewritten for being active and awesome! 22 more Laff Points to go for a new personal best.

If you’re following this blog, I believe I owe you an apology… or at the very least, an explanation. I have been playing Toontown for about 12 years now, but it’s always been a very off-and-on thing for me. Depending on exactly how long you’ve been following, you may have already noticed that - I need a break from the game every now and then, and these breaks often last months or, in this case, over a year. But I always come back. There’s no denying it’s a fun game, but it’s not something I can maintain constant interest in. I thought I’d be able to continue my plans for this blog alongside my new Gem Shimmers blog, but it ended up taking too much of my attention to do so. Then I stopped playing the game, at which point I had little desire to continue anyway. What got me thinking I could start up SpicyChipBurger again is that it’s meant to be an ask blog, and the posts where I answered questions rarely took much time for me to draw. At some point, I had started treating it as a story blog instead. I was planning to have several different long plot arcs focusing on Steven’s growth, the Cogs planning to strike back, the Chairman, and even a creation myth that would explain where Cogs and Toons came from. Once I got the idea to make this blog such a big thing, I knew there was no way I could keep both it and my new blog going. It took me until now to realize I can just keep it a low-key, simple comic about answering questions, and save all the big story stuff for the Gem Shimmers. That said, my drawing schedule is still pretty busy, so most of the new posts will likely be very short like this one, and updates about what I’m doing in the game; there won’t be as many long posts. There will also certainly be more times where I’m not posting due to lack of interest in the game, but until then, it’s good to be back and I hope you all enjoy my content!

We Are The Gem Shimmers is online!

So hopefully some of you remember me talking about how me and my friend making a Steven Universe blog. Well, the time has come! The first post is up and we are ready to begin weekly updates on Wednesdays.

My work on We Are The Gem Shimmers has been slowing down my activity on SpicyChipBurger, and will certainly continue to do so as it becomes my focus, but SpicyChipBurger will still go on. I just can't promise frequent updates. But I know a lot of you are Steven Universe fans and so may be interested in this new blog.
