Once the jet had smoothed out, Devi slowly let Gold go and took a deep breath.

“S- Sorry.” She said as she began to calm down. “Take offs and landings are the worst parts.”

“Ha...yes, I imagine. ...So about our plans, I actually did a little research and I think the best way to get close to the Vatican would be to attend a tour. We wouldn’t look suspicious at all. Though how to break away from the group and get ‘lost’ ....I’m not sure...”

When she was pulled into him, Devi’s face gained a little red color before the plane jolted, causing her to cling to him tightly.

“Justgetintheairjustgetintheairjustgetintheair.”

Gold winced at her tight grip but tolerated it for her sake. He glanced over at Black, worried if he was scared of the take-off as well. Much to Gold’s surprise, he was fine. In fact, he looked excited; eyes glued to the window while tightly gripping the arm rests of his chair.

The plane finally started to rise up into the air. It was a little bumpy, and they had to make a U-turn to get on course, but soon it was a smooth ride. The pilot said it was alright to walk about the cabin and sever themselves.

“...It’s over. We’re in the air,” Gold said to Devi “Are you okay?”

“N- No. No. I’ll be… be okay.” The jet jolted, making her yelp and cling to his arm tightly.

“A- As soon as we get level in the a- air I’ll be o- okay!” She said quickly, slightly hyperventilating.

Gold pushed up the arm rest in between them and pulled her close to lean on him. “You’ll be okay. The pilot is an expert. The best of I have. And the plane is in optimal condition.” “...And I’m here, too. Try to relax...” He gave her the barf bag anyway “Try breathing in and out of this.”

Devi chuckled awkwardly.

“Yeah… you may be right, but I don’t know anyone who’d be willing to actually break in to the Vatican with us.” She said before she heard the pilot speak. She followed the orders and seemed rather relaxed until the jet began to shake as it lifted off the ground.

Devi tensed, her breath catching in her chest as she suddenly shot her hand to the side and grabbed Gold’s hand. She stared ahead as she tried to calm her breathing, her hand tightening around his.

Startled, Gold jumped a little. He looked over at Devi, then down to his hands. He blushed a little. “Uh...Devi?” Gold said, clearing his throat “Are you going to be alright?” The businessman had already known Devi was afraid of flying. They had talked about it briefly while they were preparing for the trip. He didn’t think it would be this severe. “...If you need a barf bag or water...” His opposite hand gently laid on top of hers.

Devi placed her hands in her own lap and she leaned back into her seat.

“Well… I was thinking maybe sneaking in at night or something. I’m Sure Kerubiel will be able to easily find any scrolls that we may need.”

The issue is not finding them, but unlocking them. They may be sealed in a tomb in the catacombs or locked away in vaults.

Devi huffed. “We’ll figure it out. Any ideas from you guys?”

“Hmm...well considering I’ve never robbed any place before, I can’t say I have anything. And to sneak into a place that is so important, we would have to leave no trace of us even being there. We might need some tools...” “And an expert,” Black chimed in, leaning back in his own chair. “I mean, I’ve snuck into places but those are usually empty or really easy to get back out of.” Gold gave him a look, which Black ignored and continued “We need, like...spy help or something...” The pilot started to say something over the intercom “Attention passengers, we are ready for take off. Please buckle your seatbelts, put your chairs back in the up positions, and put away all trays. We’re just gonna taxi for a bit and then we’ll be in the sky. Hold on, folks.” The engines came to life; the jet began to move.

The whole experience was new to Devi. She had never ridden in a private luxury jet before. Everything in the jet was just so beautiful and so… luxurious!

“I’m glad you decided to come, Black.” Devi said as she sat across from him.

“Gives us a chance to talk more.” She smiled at him before she moved to allow Gold to sit beside her. She had taken an aisle seat herself.

“Yeah, I’m good! This plane is so nice!” She said, her grin growing a bit more.

“Good” Gold smiled back “If you need anything, just let let me know. You can help yourself to anything on the plane. I usually only let myself and other businessmen use this plane for, well, business. This should be fun. Ironically, I’ve never been able to relax on this jet.”

He leaned back and folded his hands in his lap. “...So...how are we getting into the Vatican again?”

It was finally time. Time to rob the Vatican-- I mean, go to Rome to help Devi on her soul search! Their luggage was ready and so was the jet. The shook Gold’s hand and welcomed everyone else on. The luxury was equipped and ready for a peaceful ride to their destination. It would be a while before they took off, so they had time to get comfortable.

Gold took the liberty of giving Devi the tour. Black was more interested in getting a window seat. “I’m still surprised you wanted to come. I thought going overseas wasn’t your style, you said. In fact I think you said something about cramping mine and Devi’s style.” Black shrugged “I had a change of heart. Go figure. And besides...I know what we’re really going to Rome for” He smirked. They had gone over the plan before they left. How they were going to get into the Vatican still needed to be discussed...

“Devi, are you comfortable?” Gold asked before taking his seat beside her.
