Intro...

Good evening. My name is Palamedes Sextus, scion to the Sixth and proud owner of his very own ask blog.

This blog is intended to be a conduit through which to spread knowledge throughout the Houses, and share a bit of personal information (if the occasion arises :>), as well as interact with other House heirs I have seen frequently on this website.

I look forward to meeting you all.

I must say, the other anon questions make me wonder, in a situation where you have to choose between your left hand and your right hand, would you really not chose? No one would like to lose a hand, but everyone has a dominant one.  Would you really gamble others lives so you do not have to live with the weight of the decision? Not taking a decision could be considered a decision in itself. 

In any case, it is not as if you need to have an answer to any of those questions, they are mere hypotheticals, even if you answered there is no way to actually know if that answer would actually be true or just what you want to believe of yourself, and I am mostly musing out of my own curiosity.

I will admit, this has been a fun brain teaser for me, if not a little distressing. I like to think of myself as someone who would take action, but it's hard to know what I'd do right now, as I am not currently involved in a horrible situation like that. However, I would cut off my right hand, because I'm ambidextrous :)

Uh yeah you can call me epaulette. Its my favorite species of shark... not that you probably know what a shark is because I think only one of the Nine Houses would even have conditions close to what is needed to sustain the living conditions of sharks.

Absolutely exquisite creatures though. Over 500 species, each perfectly adapted to their environment. There could not be a better example of how evolution affects the features and habits of a creature. I think studying them would bring the Sixth much joy.

Oh! Sounds fascinating. We do not have sharks on the Sixth, I hope you will send me more information about them :)

Ah interest probably comes because I worry about Camilla. Having someone be the most important person in your life, but constantly knowing that you're, at best, in second place for them is damaging, you know? Even if it isn't romantic

A little "oh they don't love me nearly as much as I love them" is painful. It can make someone question how important they are.

Camilla is just a wonderful woman, and I worry she is not loved enough.

Anon, I assure you, Camilla is most beloved to me. I strive every day to show her just how much she means to me. The relationship I have with Camilla and Dulcie are very special, and very different. If she felt unloved or discouraged, I hope she would trust me enough to share. Could I call you something, Anon? I would like to be able to pick you out of my inbox.

I rasie you that in the event you actually had to choose between Lady Septimus and Camilla Hect, you would choose Camilla in a heartbeat.

It is one thing to see your long term crush and penpal suffering. Seeing someone who would do absolutely anything for you, and has done so consistently, is a different beast entirely. I do not think you are accurately estimating the damage Camilla Hect's suffering would do to your psyche.

An interesting hypothesis. I do admit, Camilla is one of- if not the most important person in my life. I would say that I care for both the Duchess Septimus and Camilla equally, and I hope I would never have to be in a situation where either suffer. I would prevent this at all costs. I do wonder, Anon, why you are so interested in this subject?

Camilla has been very interested in cultural meals from other Houses lately, and has used some of her stipend to import curry from the Fifth.

I am now obsessed and I fear I may be spoiled. How can I go the rest of my life without regularly having curry and rice. Life has no purpose or meaning without it T-T !!!

campal from Pyrrha's perspective is so fucking funny. she survived only because G1deon's lyctoral process failed and then ended up living with a pair of crazy 20 year olds who coincidentally were in the middle of DIYing their own version of lyctorhood. she watched them do fucked up soul things, got flashbacks of her friends who suffered horrible consequences of doing those exact things, tried to warn them, was like "what if we just🥺lived on a farm🥺or something🥺", they were like "sureeee grandma let's get you to bed we'll think about it" but then she comes back from work and they're conducting their 10th unethical experiment of the week. and it's only wednesday.

Hello 🕷 anon, yes you may!

As for animals, we don't have many on the Sixth (it can be difficult to properly care for them in an environment filled with precious documents and so little room to exercise), but an associate of mine was once gifted a mantis (!!!!) in a terrarium, which seemed very suitable and compact, easy to care for. The only unfortunate caveat was that it ate other insects (which are also scarce on the Sixth).

So, "TLDR", I believe praying mantises are beautiful creatures. I also rather enjoy ferrets (though- I've only read of them. They're popular on the Fifth and Seventh, I believe.)

As for Harrowhark, I can confidently say I… have no idea. I have theories, none of them are concrete, on where her soul may be residing but… perhaps that’s sharing too much.
