Well according to most, less of you two tends to be the prescribed solution.
Then again, you two have apparently been declared ‘my boys’ by similar sources.
Oh, we’ll be your boys until the end of days. We know and you know it.

“You know, some of us here have lives. It ever occur to you that I might not have time to kick your sorry behinds?” Spring Break and crime just had to spike. It was like they had a sixth sense for the worst time to pull stunts like this.
“Did it occur to us? No, never.” Trapper snorted out a small laugh at that. Beside him, Specs rolled his eyes and reached to push a button on the latest device. “The fact that you showed up indicates the exact contradiction of your statement. Here you are...and here we are.”

((I would like to do the rping as well on literally any blog cause your blogs are kinda amazing, yeah?))
((Priority #1 is getting that AC unit (it hit 85 here today), but that might be later tonight. Until then, I’m all y’all’s. <3 If I’m not on one of my three Static Shock accounts, there’s a pretty good bet you’ll find me here. Yessss. Let’s do the thing, whatever the heck the thing is.))

*pokes head in* Yes hello hi I would like to do the RPing 0u0 I need more of my Vanmorons
Oh, you precious, precious thing.
Who doesn‘t need more Vanmorons?
Play Organ Trail for free right now.
(Mun owns the director’s cut extended version of this game. If anyone wants to play it with me on Skype this weekend, I’m for it. It’s pretty much a souped-up Oregon Trail parody with lots and lots of zombies. What’s not to love?)
(OOC: Small heads up? You guys might actually get to see me this weekend. My new room needs an upstairs AC unit, so we’re going to search for one and install on Saturday, but I do have the whole weekend off for the first time in forever. Feel free to nudge me if you’d like to do something with this account or my other two.)
*pinches Trapper*
Aaaaaaaaaagh. Stop the--
Oh god. Please don’t do that to me, Miss Lovelace. Mr. Specs "adopted” a scorpion recently and it liberated itself two days ago. Waiting for that thing to show up again is like being a cast member in The Thing.
Guess what I thought you were?
((Sorry for the silence as of late! Mun’s moved to a much nicer part of town and has been setting stuff up and unpacking after work instead of going online. Expect more activity starting on Friday night!))
Hey Trapper, guess what I've got for you~ *dangles a printed off receipt for two reserved passes to QuantumCon in front of his face* Happy birthday, you dork.
Oh my Zod.
How hard do I have to declare my love for you for this thing to be valid?
So you like chemistry puns...

HOW HAVE I NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE
IT’S LIKE THE WHO’S ON FIRST OF SCIENCE JOKES
Okay to be fair: I’d run like a bitch from a regular bear, much less a zombiefied one.
Update!
We are now on our way to Chicago.
Specs has mastered the "faster bullet" technique that some sketchy old guy at the Farmland showed him. Now they go faster. Don't ask why.
The zombie bear came back and attacked him. I guess we'll have to use the medkits after all!
Static broke his leg.
Mr. Alva has been strangely silent for the whole duration of this trip. Too silent...until he broke a rib.
Ada has cholera.
Trapper lost some money in the car cushions. It's lost forever.
OOC: I'm playing a round of Organ Trail with Ada-mun right now. The party consists of the Vanmoron trio, Edwin Alva Sr., and Static, with Specs as the party leader. So far:
Static's been bitten by a zombie but isn't dead...yet.
Alva Sr. wasted all their money on car parts and medkits.
Specs insisted he was good enough at scavenging that we left with no fucking food (and he was right). He did, however, run like a little bitch from a zombified bear.
We've only made it to Indianapolis so far, which is barely that far in the game. We're also laughing our asses off.
Dakota City State of Emergency
Oh great, more reasons for you two to argue with each other. [Ada rolls her eyes- she can see exactly where this is going] Can I offer a counter option of just going back to bed? You guys don’t have work, I don’t have school, and frankly it’s the preferable option to listening to you two start arguing again over who gets to DM.
Are you kidding? Loser has to sign into VPN to make sure that everything's remotely stable at the Surgat base. We'll settle it with a coin toss, but you know how the Undead Employer will take it if one of us doesn't check in to make sure that thing in the sublevel didn't get out.
Dakota City State of Emergency
Aka my dumb boyfriends do not take being housebound well and are currently arguing vehemently over whether we’re going to marathon the LotR Extended Edition or the (evens only) Star Trek movies.
Oh, and also the snow’s really fucking bad.
We've decided on a compromise. We'll pay the nimrod next door to shovel the snow and spend the day playing Dungeons and Dragons. [And judging from how these two were staring each other down, there was soon to be an argument over who would DM the game. Go figure.]
Random Headcanons
While this is a Static Shock blog with influences from the Milestone comic Hardware (which, I swear to you, you really do need to read if you ever get the chance. It is so good.), it's no secret that I quite regularly interact with a good number of Batman Beyond blogs and have a Beyondverse for Specs and Trapper. On the record, I've mentioned that 30 to 40 years down the line, these two have made a fortune catering to a niche market: rogue metahuman containment. What started with something as gloriously bad as the "Alva Machine" in their first episode (and even more gloriously bad shenanigans when they donned the monikers of Spectral and Speedtrap) has become a progressively more sinister 'focus of creativity' for these two mad engineers. Canonically, Specs and Trapper created inventions primarily designed to capture and/or neutralize Static, or at least put them in a category where they could fight back. Static's hardly the only electrokinetic in the DCAU, nor is he the last. The Batman Beyond 2.0 comic, now cancelled, followed the DCAU rigidly and takes place in the same universe. The very first newcomer rogue the new Batman gets to face is a patricidal electrokinetic by the name of Davis "Rewire" Dusk:
Davis is the unstable son of a power-hungry mayor who was more interested in controlling him than actually spending any quality time with him. And honestly, the Davis I interact with has put in a lot of Alva-esque parallels with the Dusk family and it's fascinating. Canonically, we find out that Davis was seeing a therapist for at least three years (and this therapist later on was given the warden position for the new and improved Arkham Mayor Dusk considered to be his capstone project) and the character goes into one hell of a downward spiral after Ghoul provides him with a drug that amplifies his powers.
Not only this, but Mayor Dusk was well aware. What was his reaction to Davis's growing power and uncontrollable temper?
And who on earth could design such a thing? Why not:
Let's face it: as goofy as the writers made Specs and Trapper, they never forgot to remind us of just how damn bright they were. Throughout the Static series, they found ways to hold their own against Static, Rubberband Man, and Tarmac: none of which have any overlapping powers. Still, electrokinesis is the one they dealt with the most.
Give them a few more decades and their equipment would become far more sophisticated and effective...and probably a fuck ton more terrifying.
gothamsresidenttechnopath:oh my god I cannot even imagine the Vanmorons being snowed in.
gothamsresidenttechnopath: Can you say stircrazy?
ask-vanmoors-finest: Specs would immediately demand a Lord of the Rings extended version marathon.
ask-vanmoors-finest: Trapper would counter and say, "No. Star Trek. The even Star Treks."
gothamsresidenttechnopath: Ada just throws her hands up. "I'm not getting in the middle of this."
ask-vanmoors-finest: And if the power went out, they'd just decide to kidnap Static for personal use.
gothamsresidenttechnopath: oh my GOD, boys
Soooo somebody's birthday is coming up~ any suggestions as to what you want, Trapper?
Well, there's QuantumCon coming up and I really, really, really want to go to that--but the only person who can fill in for me at the lab is, well, the other guy who wants to go. You know I can't sneak off to these things unless I have Specs with me.
Please kidnap me for this event and come up with some kind of diversion. He's on to me.
