I’ve actually drawn this OC once before for the OC-Art-Challenge, so it was fun to get to do her again, especially with the gear pattern on the socks. If you’re wondering what the title is of the book she’s reading, it says “Fundamentals of Mechanics.”

And ugh this did NOT turn out as well as I intended it to be for the finale for this event. But the time crunch I was under forced me to rush this....so yeah, have a shitty Les Mis parody. ._.))

Wonderwork pulled herself up and shook the cobwebs out of her head. She felt the shame of what she just did cut like a huge knife. She KNEW that she couldn't fly. But why did her cutie mark tell her that she could and that it was her talent?
No matter how much she tried....
And tried....
And TRIED....
She just couldn't do the thing that her cutie mark told her that she could.
"What is my destiny? Why is my cutie mark telling me wrong...?"

As Wonderwork stepped outside and made her way into town, her gaze was drawn to a nearby tree.
Nothing was particularly special about this tree, but she was compelled towards it, her mind seemingly receiving messages from the fiery mark emblazoned on her flank. She began to climb the tree, reaching the highest branch she could. Her mark telling her to soar. Soar above the ground like the pegasus it said she was.
Wonderwork wondered why this would be what she was destined to do since....well, even a newborn foal could tell you that earth ponies can't fly. But she decided to follow her cutie mark. She closed her eyes, took a deep breath and lept from the treetop, feeling the air beneath her belly, and--
....Yeah, it went about as well as one would expect.

Something was indeed pulling at Wonderwork's mind, her gaze contantly drawn to her cutie mark.
"Maybe I just need a little fresh air... to clear my head a little." she says, meandering out the door of her home. Although she felt like she was missing something important to her. Something was just not right with the world today, but she just didn't know what.
Meanwhile, her signature goggles, lie on the floor in the hallway. Wonderwork seemingly unaware of their existence.
....Something doesn't feel right....
....And what was I looking for again....?

((Ok, I know this is like the 5 millionth time I've said this but Wonderwork IS NOT dead.
I've just been having trouble juggling school, other art, and my general life outside of the internet.
