how did you hear about what Queen Regina did?

People talk. It’s easy enough to put two and two together and then have a whole complete story.

When was the last time you cried and why?

I was taught that a warrior doesn’t tell others when they cry. It’s a sign of weakness and someone can always use that information against you.

I definitely agree! On both accounts, truly. It’s been nice having everyone hunkered down in the tavern, as it offered a sense of warmth and security that wasn’t solely provided by the fire and subsequent building. I’ve also been a big fan of the noise and smiles that have taken over. It amazes me to see you in the trenches with everyone, to this day. You’re a bit of glue that helps keep everyone together! And we should plan a trip, then! I would love to whisk you away and eat up all of your attention myself. 

No, you’re the one who keeps us together. It was your brilliant mind that came up with the tavern, a place where lost souls and travelers alike can come and gather. When you walk through those doors, instantly you become one of the family and that’s certainly you’re doing not mine. I just do my best to serve them and make sure that their entire stay is pleasant and that they feel welcomed here is all. It’s what I’m supposed to do. It’s been a long time since we’ve gone on an adventure just the two of us. I think it would be fun to just have your attention only for a little bit.

I think someone’s had too much ale to drink. If you need a place to stay we have rooms available at the tavern.

I think we’ve all generally kept warm in our own ways, which is easier to do sans blizzard, but I wouldn’t be opposed to getting away - if we’re talking just the two of us. I’m sure Little John would be able to hold down the fort in our absence. Otherwise, everyone will be setting up tents once more after the snow melts just a bit more. The tavern can only hold us for so long. 

I’m honestly surprised that they didn’t start leaving once the snow melted. But I am not complaining because business has been good and I’ve loved having them all around until the storms passed. It made me feel like I was useful and that no one froze or spent the holidays all alone. And yeah I was kinda thinking just the two of us. I love everyone I do but I don’t think Little John or the rest of the Merry Men would fit in our tent.

I shouldn't have laughed at this one.

I can’t even remember what winters used to be like in the old days. Have we gone soft? Would we even be able to survive like we used to before when we’d travel and sleep in the forest? Maybe we should go camping in the woods and get away for a few days.

What's one way you like to keep warm on a wintery day?

Dress appropriately and sit near a fire. At least these days that fire is inside.

Are you doing anything to celebrate this holiday season?

I mainly am spending it with Booker and the other Merry Men. But mainly I also spent the holidays working and making sure people who came into the tavern had a warm meal and a place to stay in, especially if they had no one else to spend the holidays with

Have you ventured out into the blizzard?

Who would want to do that? Especially not after we were secure in the tavern. It wasn’t safe to and that’s what I had told everyone inside with me.

If you look out the window, how deep does the snow look?

I actually didn’t spend a whole lot of time looking out the window during the storm. Mainly because I had been afraid of the windows giving out or something like that. So I have no idea how bad the snow got or how deep it was.

What’s one thing you’ve been doing to keep yourself busy during the storms?

Helping everyone who is in the tavern with us. I’ve been doing a lot of helping Booker in the kitchen to feed everyone and then checking on everyone here to make sure they are safe and aren’t so scared.

Do you think the storms could be magic related? They've gotten pretty bad!

Wouldn’t surprise me. I’ve come to learn that most things in my life and these realms are controlled or changed by the magic of someone else. Why wouldn’t these storms be any different?

Are you the type of person to take comfort in storms?

I don’t hate them or love them either way. I’m just glad that now I don’t have to live in the forest while I wait for them to pass.

do you like your name? would you hope that it changed if another curse came around?

Why would I want to change my name? It was the one given to me by my parents and what I have been called my whole life. I may have feelings about what my name is but I simply can’t go against my parents wishes. They named me Mulan so Mulan I shall be.

That is one thing about the Enchanted Forest we need to bleed over into Storybrooke! Men who can cook are a weakness. Has he ever made you breakfast in bed? Just know, if you say no I’m going to hunt this guy down – storm or not!

Cooking is such an important skill for everyone to have. If there were no Granny’s or other places like that to eat, people would starve. And who knows those places may not even exist all of the time! What happens then? But you don’t need to worry. The day after we first spent the night together, he did bring me breakfast in bed and he brings me breakfast in bed whenever he gets up before me in the morning.

Is there something you wish you could change about how your life turned out?

I would’ve like to have a better relationship with my parents or even gotten the chance to make amends with them but ultimately I’m okay with all I’ve done in my life and where I am today.

What are you doing to prepare for the upcoming storm?

Just what I always do during a storm. Finding shelter for all the Merry Men and those in surrounding villages with no place to go or in homes that are not safe and then working at the tavern to help keep people clothed and feed and safe once the storm hits.
