Hey, maybe I haven’t been loud enough? I just kind of noticed that several blogs have especially gotten hate for having trans or nonbinary interpretations of IDV characters or their own IDV OCs. The reason I don’t have Aesop as trans is due to my own discomfort with my body, and I know back then, I doubt there was bottom surgery, so, I just don’t like thinking on that stuff much.

I’m trans and immensely dysphoric. Regardless, for those who represent themselves proudly, unashamedly, I salute you, and this whole thing is basically to say stop punishing people for trying to find a foothold in having someone to represent them, or them trying to represent others. Stop berating people for it.

Having bottom surgery doesn’t make you trans, you’re trans the moment you realize you don’t fit as well as a boy/girl, or you just feel more comfortable being another gender, regardless of no exact pinpointed dysphoria beforehand. You don’t need top surgery. You can bind, or it might be unhealthy to bind, so you don’t, and that’s personally none of anyone’s goddamn business.

Also, there could have been experimental hormone therapy. Anyone hear of PCOS? If that’s the wrong abbreviation, maybe it’s something else, but your body will produce higher testosterone levels. Trans people existed back in that time period, they just, you know, tried their best to hide themselves because they could be killed much more easily, and not every country is even somewhat immune to this like the U.S. There’s still a bunch of shit going on over here.

some of the IDV blogs- namely some of the OC blogs, have been recieving rather hateful and nasty messages from people who are on anon, if you really have the balls to say that on anon, come off anon and say it to us directly. Not only are you making those you write these nasty things to upset and wanting to delete their blogs in some cases, but you’re basically being absaloute shitheads bc we work hard on our ocs to have fun, not be attacked.
