I was in a library and I was looking for a horror book to read. The selection wasn't good but I found this one interesting.

"The Black Feathers"

Not the type of horror I was expecting. But I don't regret reading it. The book is actually good.

I was a bit bored at first, in the beginning but it very quickly became interesting, and I got invested very rapidly.

This is a mystery book with supernatural horror elements mixed in. This book also deals with grief and trauma. The dynamics between the characters are interesting.

There's no romance or anything like that.

Not a heavy read. Atleast in my experience.

I bought this book years ago. I've always loved reading about classical mythology—even as a kid (yes, even before I picked up my first Percy Jackson book at age 12; and yes, only the abridged, sanitized versions from Encarta).

The shop thoughtfully included dried flowers and a nature-themed bookmark. I've forgotten where I stored the flowers, but I know the bookmark still lies snug and safe between the book’s pages.
