 I’m back in time for the new year! And what do we need most in the new year? CALENDARS 

I’m late for 2016, but hopefully 2017 will be just as much of a party!

This is a Mario Kart themed calendar, featuring tracks from the game as a prop for your characters. Compositions should include your character and enough of the track for it to be recognizable. 

I threw up some ideas

But you could probably come up with something more creative. The image should be *3300 x 2550 pixels (11 x 8.5 in) at 300 dpi for the final piece. *it needs to be horizontal not vertical

The sign ups are as follows; I will be reblogging this to update the list. I will take the first asker for the month (the first person to ask for April will get April, etc) When 11 positions are filled, I will close the signups and take the unwanted spot (sorry, I kind of wanted to put my muses in too. You can talk me out of this if you really want)

The cover I am doing differently. I will take the first 10 names that sign up and determine the winner with a random number generator. You can sign up for the cover and a month on the calendar, but if you win (with a month slot also) you must choose one or the other. If you give up the month slot, the poll will reopen or go to the second asker if no one signs up again. If you give up the cover, I will remove your name from the list and run the RNG again and the cover will go to that slot.

Welcoming 2016

Hello everyone, Boonie mun here.

First of all, i would thank you all for the kind responses to the last personal post i did. It feels good to know that you guys do care and want to stick with me.

This said, i need to be completely honest with you all. This is something i’ve been thinking about and probably needs to be said.

Consider this a semi vent of sorts, there’s no need for you guys to read it if you don't want to because it’s long and it’s moody.

Under read more for convenience:

You all have been wonderful, there’s no denying that, but there has been a few issues here and there that have made it difficult to keep track of things here:

1) I have a deviantArt. I actually favor that site over tumblr. I have toooons of ideas out of the Mario universe that it would be impossible for me to mention them. Let’s just say i have OCs for a good portion of the smash bros franchises AND there’s also the “Completely original” (as in no fanbase attached) OCs too. Because i also have a main tumblr, i have to log in to this one to check on everyone.

What this means is that for a large portion of time i actually focused on this blog over those two. This caused strains with friends i have over dA to say the least.

2) I am in a demanding University. I don’t know how many of you guys are able to handle work/School AND being here. Must be related to a preference to being here over other sites (See above), but i digress. This university I’m in is pretty demanding. I have had to stay up late well until 2 am just to keep up with workloads. It would be easy to just ignore a class here and there... get a B+ or even simply make sure that i can pass with C, but that’s not like me at all. If i fail to understand something from the very beginning there’s this “Avalanche” effect that takes place that would only add to stress/anxiety levels I’m not willing to risk.

What this means is that i had to choose between a blog, the sites i frequent AND school. I handed over my Skype to make sure that those who wanted to keep in touch with me could do so while i went into hiatus here. If you’d like it, you can send an ask. I don’t bite!

3) My life is getting messier. There has been a series of incidents that had put me on a bad state of mind before. Breaking up with my girlfriend, Staying afloat of school, the need for job hunting rising up, the unfortunate passing of family. It’s been tough, but i feel like i’ve been managing...

What this means is that I’ve found myself in very low moods where Motivation/inspiration was lacking. For a while i figured i could just ignore the pain and put a mask of happiness. This “Everything is alright” attitude was unhealthy.

4) I’ve messed up. She will know what I’m talking about. I pushed someone very special with unhealthy attitudes. I was “Overly friendly” and stepped over lines out of being just “too excited”. I believed my honesty would be appreciated, but it was actually my own undoing. Shall i given things time maybe things could have been avoided or flowed more naturally. 

I’m sorry. This is a public apology i don’t expect you to read. I still hope things can still be worked out, but after begging for another chance it’s clear i don’t deserve such. Even if it doesn’t mean much... I humbly apologize for everything. I also want to thank you. Without you i wouldn’t have realized this toxic attitude that i had. It sucks it had to come to such levels in order for me to “get it”.

5) I might need help. All this time i have considered myself a people’s person. You want to be my friend? Let’s talk about video games and OCs! You need tips for smash? Sure, i can provide some! Feeling down? Vent to me, I don’t mind! Need something to lift your spirits? Here, let me do some art for you!

What this means is that I’ve neglected myself via putting others above me. I was such a people’s person that ended up promising free art for a few people while also having a few RPs with others, plus making sure they didn’t feel i was ignoring them over Skype or deviantArt.... and this in my online life! Offline i was the go to person when classmates wanted to know wtf the geometry teacher explained. I’m also the one mom calls to do chores because “I’m the only one who listens/helps”.

6) I am not sure if I really have friends. Maybe this is a problem of mine, but the amount of people i can call “Friend” can probably be counted with a hand. Which is to say, there’s not many people i would rather “Bother” with my pain. The incident mentioned in 4 just reminded me of how difficult it is for me to feel that i belong. To know what it’s like to be on a group of friends i can joke with without being judged. To enjoy blabbering about anything and everything because i can, not because i should. There’s also the fact that a few of the people i first met here have deactivated.

What this means is... I feel alone. Time is too strict to form any significant friendships, the mood is less than ideal most of the time and to make things worse I am afraid of failing and Afraid of messing up again. I don’t feel like i belong anywhere.

I appreciate the asks 2 of you sent, the likes you’ve given as support, I even appreciate if you’ve read this far. I am sorry if i owe you art, I am sorry for leaving RPs hanging, I am so sorry for waiting “for the right time” to reply to the pending asks i have. I am so sorry for not being able to keep up with your wondrous plots...

I am so sorry if i am unable to reach you in private to vent and feel better even if we are friends.

I am sorry for messing up and failing you if i had.

And I’m so sorry you had to read this much pain when all i want and wish for everyone i know and have known before... is happiness.

As a bystander to that whole thing last night, I'm pretty disappointed in you. I already unfollowed, but I don't want my name attached to this. I really think that next time you should step back for a moment and think about what you're going to put up as a reply, because no one was attacking you. No one was being rude, other than you. And it was very disappointing to see, and very immature. Breathe before you answer these things and try to be courteous to your followers.

if you didn’t want your name attached to this, you shouldn’t have sent anything? Because now there are two people I can’t cut out of my life because I don’t know who they are because they are hiding behind anon. 

“no one was attacking you”-someone literally told me how to run my blog. They didn’t do it in private. They didn’t PM me. I had no option but to answer publicly or to delete the ask. Not only that, but they didn’t come to me with anon off. Since they were following me, they could’ve asked for my skype, or had it and didn’t use it. Instead they made an ask I had to answer in public to shame me for my excitement over my project which was spammy and annoying. Even in my bad temper I listed options to deal with the issue, which they ignored when they said they were “on mobile”. It might not have seemed attacking to you, but you didn’t receive the message either. 

“no one was being rude”-not only were they on anon to make that type of a post, which is already highly rude, they called me “pissy” for not replying calmly, they said the asks were ‘annoying’. The whole way that they wrote the post was condescending and infantilizing. Which is exactly like your reply. I shouldn’t have lost my temper but they were not in the clear/flawless/making no mistakes. 

Personally, I think sending rude things on anon because you can’t put your name on it and don’t want repercussions for your actions is immature. But what would I know? 

go be disappointed to someone who cares, I am tired of all of this BS. I might just can this whole thing.

REAL TALK! 

You know… I’ve always considered Anon asks to be shady…. 

I mean, the Nintendask community is praised for it’s “Inclusivity and friendly disposition”, correct? The original Anon Could have approached out of Anon like “Oh hey dry bones mun… I have a little uh, favor to ask”, right? 

Under this logic, there was no reason to send an ask with, and i quote: “Its getting really getting spammy and annoying…” If that’s not an Attack, then it sure as heck is a backhanded slap with a friendly smile.

I got news for you, dear Anon… If the community is so approachable and you are one of the “Good Guys” then why was it so hard to go out of anon in the first place and use your real face? We have had stories of Anons spreading Hate before so there’s even bigger reason not to use that feature for stuff like this.

You know how many of us mods in the Nintendask community will respond negatively to someone actually approaching us out of Anon? NO ONE

Better yet… Anon 2, did you really have to be SO shady that you had to state “I’m pretty disappointed in you. I already unfollowed, but I don’t want my name attached to this” ?

If a friend came to you here and sent an ask of “YOU SUUUUUUCK!” would you be mad? Most likely not, you trust them enough to understand they don’t mean an actual offense.

If a stranger sent you an ask with “You b*tch” Would you be mad?

Case on point, a Stranger came and said “Your reblogging habits are getting annoying. I think you should slow down”… Yes, perhaps it could have been managed better…. but you know what you could have done after the mod’s first response, Anon 1? Come out with a friendly demeanor and say “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to upset you. that wasn’t written in the best of ways, Let me correct it.”

But no, you then have the guts to send another one: “a big post.. that you keep reblogging… you even acknowledged it was annoying in one of your tags… so why are you still doing it.. and being pissy about someone saying you could slow down” all while STILL in anon.

Who do you think you are??? 

Also, is this not considered rude or an Attack yet, Anon 2? Anon 1 definitively didn’t have the most friendly of disposition right from the get go.

If your answer is “Oh, just someone who worries about the community!” or something on the lines of “I just want to help others!” then You.Are.a.Liar.

You did the same as Anon 1. You Hid behind an Anon Mask and showed your true colors.

You didn’t care about dry bones mod at all! Cause you were definitively not that “Close enough” to her to worry as a friend and approach her in better terms.

You followed because you could. The moment she did something that “Inconvenienced you” she suddenly mattered. The “problem” needed to be fixed.

Don’t even try to deny it. You are Hiding behind Anon because you don’t want negative repercussions on your name. Not because you care.

I am a friend. I can give FRIENDS tips like “Breathe, No need to reply when you are angry”. I am not some random Stranger who needs to hide behind Anon masks and goes around telling people to “chill”, There is a little something called TRUST between us.

Heck, you don’t even have to be friends with someone to give them suggestions! Here’s a 5 min. guide to how actual followers should do it: 1.- Approach but not as anon. Be friendly and mention you have a suggestion to make. 2.- ASK if you can even MAKE said suggestion 3.- If answer is yes, Make said suggestion. Give constructive criticism without being condescending or infantilizing. We are all adults here who can take the criticism if we asked for it. 4.- Respect their Answer. If it was positive then cool, If it wasn’t then make necessary adjustments. 5.- ??? 6.- Profit????

I don’t know who you Anons were… but if it took “4 reblogs of the same post” that only updated when a spot was taken (Aka, this will obviously slow down) then maybe you just didn’t care.

And because of that, i don’t care who you are…
