Acting class with Lexxi was the best!!!

So just today, I had a class with LalaLexxi, going over a lot of tips and tricks to help me with being a better voice actor. Being very experienced herself with lots of good connections, she had a lot of fantastic points she brought up, such as how to be able to relax and get the jitters of just going into an audition being one of them. Helping to visualize yourself in the character’s shoes. There are people who still see voice acting and acting as different things, where as in reality, they go hand in hand.

Mamma lexxi don’t sugar coat nothing either, she tells the truth, and I personally really appreciate that! I really felt like I learned a lot and had a lot of old stuff refreshed in my mind, and has given me more confidence.

Admittedly, before I started the class, I was a little panicked cause Senpi Lexxi actually made one on one time with me, and it was bizarre hearing her address me for the first time ever. But her cheerful personality, her sexy voice and her excitement on the subject is really infectious. Once she started talking about acting, there was no stopping her. Listening to people talk about something they love so much, you can’t help but smile and listen in, like when people listen to me nerd out big time. She makes a very warm and welcoming environment and your able to learn so much while having so much fun at the same time.

Overall, it was a phenomenal class and I defiantly recommend mamma Lexxi if you’r looking for great, helpful hints, tips and tricks to voice acting.

Love you so much Lexxi for taking the time to talk to me and hope we get the chance to do so again in the future. I had a heap of fun and felt very inspired. I can’t thank you enough.

Carmo’s Reveiw on Moana

Hi there everypony. Carmo here, and today I’ll be giving my thoughts on the movie Moana. I decided to start giving my own personal opinions on movies that I’ve recently seen. Looking at them from a story telling point of view and technical as well. Being a movie pony I have inside knowledge on how movies are made. I want to keep the first part of the review spoiler free in case you guys still haven’t seen it. So with out further delay, let’s get started.

Disney is a vastly growing empire of entertainment, owning the rights for Marvel and Star Wars. But their own movies are still fantastic to watch. And the ones made by Pixar are no less than great (most of the time). Their new hit Moana had pushed boundaries in computer generated water simulation. Knowing friends who have attempted water simulation and how hard it actually is to make look right, let alone behave properly. The water in the movie was the main focus on the simulation and VFX teams on this one, and it all paid off. It’s some of the best water I’ve seen in a fully animated film ever. Every new movie Pixar makes, they show case a new brakethrough with computer generated images. Like in Zootopia, the amount of fur on all chraracters, as well as grooming all the fur was ground braking, and must have been a bitch to render too. Some people will mistake the moving tattoos all over Maui’s body may fool viewers as the most impressive VFX work. And it it was done nicely, but the technology to do it isn’t anything new. It must have been tedious work to animate all the characters in the movie. You see a vast background of people doing things in the background that you won’t see clearly, but a lot of work had gone into making the island at the beginning of the movie feel alive. And they clearly thoroughly studied Sailing techniques. I don’t know much about sailing, but most of what I’ve seen from competitions and friends who have sailed, it’s pretty accurate. Very well done, very pleasing to the eyes

Now for the story. [Spoilers warning]

Like most stories done in Disney movies, we follow Moana, a princess of a tribe of former voyagers and the argent, self loathing Demi-god Maui on a quest to return the heart of Tahiti. A similar plot sandwich was used in this movie as we’ve seen in previous films like Zootopia. Daughter wants to go out to the water, father an mother tell her no one is allowed outside the reef. One day after her grandma dies, on her dying words, she tells her to go out, find Maui, and make him return the heart to Tahiti. She sets off on her quest barely knowing how to sail, but the water is a character in the movie too, so it helps her. She finds Maui, they set off to find his magic hook, then off to return the heart. Then theres the brake up scene. Dead grandma's spirit reminds her of why she’s doing it, and goes off again and Maui comes back to save the day, with Moana’s help.

Over all, I really enjoyed this movie, and recommend you all check this one out. Thank you for reading what I had to say about Moana and hope you all have a really nice day. Stay tuned for more reviews
