Hey everyone! Sonic here again! I just saw something similar to fireworks come out of the core! A sign of hope that Chip/Light Gaia is alive in there somewhere! Hope you have a great day and a Happy New Year!
No Contact
Hey guys...Sonic here, reporting to you from Tails’ plane and using my phone to create a memo about Chip and his selflessness. There has been no contact with Chip since he spoke to me a while ago. I am really worried that Dark Gaia has overpowered Light Gaia, and that we may never hear from Chip again, but I can’t confirm or deny that Chip is gone until Tails scans the area for unusual energy other than the Dark Gaia variety. I really hope he has survived. Without him, it is more likely that our world will be consumed by darkness and...the Chaos Emeralds will lose their power...or...at least weaken somewhat. They may not completely lose their power but they won’t be as effective. Please, Chip...get back to us soon. I miss you, pal.
Sonic wants to Help
Sonic: *from Tails' plane, talking to Chip and looking kinda pissed, but not really mad* Chip....why didn't you tell me that Dark Gaia was awake again?
Chip: I didn't want to lose you, Sonic. You remember what happened last time you helped me fight him, right?
Sonic: Yeah, we kicked his ass!
Chip: *sighs* Yes, but we almost lost...you, in the process. I won't stand for that again.
Sonic: *sighs as well* That didn't matter. I only cared about protecting the planet and keeping everyone safe from Eggman. But I'm sure you knew that.
Chip: *nods* I knew. That's why /I/ sent you back. Because I knew that, despite your selflessness in that moment, the world needed you to live on to keep it safe from Eggman and others like him. So please...leave me to fight Dark Gaia alone.
Sonic: *stands up and moves to stand on the wing* No!

Being a Planet Guardian isn't Easy
Chip: I'm sorry for the long silence, everyone! Dark Gaia's starting to get a little restless down here. I'm managing to keep him from emerging for the moment, but I don't know how much longer I'll be able to do it. Don't tell Sonic. He'll worry and try to come help me here in the core. You saw how he almost died in my hand in the Sonic Unleashed game because of how hot things are here! I can't ask him to risk his life like that again. I'll manage without him.
