I'd like to point out that in order to run a con you have to treat it like a business. At the end of the day, the fact is YOU failed all those people who donated to you. All those people who traveled from AROUND THE WORLD to come to your con and all the people who came to have a good time. Afterwards all you did was make jokes(Your banner is a freaking ballpit) and say "well if we had had more help" no no if you hadn't been so inept this could have been okay.

You need to apologize to the WTNV crew re: how you handled things. You may not want to, you may think you're in the right. Maybe you are. But forget Benedict Cumberbatch, this story has already spread far enough that you're not going to be able to get a C-level guest to take you seriously and trust you'll pay them on time and in full and handle their reputation well.

Will you be available to all your guests and attendees both personally and in e-mail?

if you're going to do dashcon next year, i would suggest letting people organise their own hotel arrangements rather that pre-booking a hotel. that way you won't have to worry about accomodation and can use the extra money to make the con itself better.

You are all children who do not know how to run a convention. You robbed people, including minors, Did not have a legal permit to run a for profit convention in and you are in so much trouble oh my god prepare for the lawsuits you are going to get because it is going to be awful. The owners may have ruined some peoples lives. For superwholock.

Just wanted to say I'm sorry that things didn't go as planned. I know how hard it is to plan events and although you're being strong, the negative feedback still hurts. Do you consider what you did to be stealing? Since, though it was an honest mistake, people were mislead as to what they were paying for? Obviously there was something of a convention, but not nearly to the extent that you led everyone to believe. If I had paid for a weekend pass and received that, I'd feel like I was scammed.

No, we don't consider it stealing. Lots of people had fun at the convention.

How about you check IDs for 18+ panels? That's really all you can do and hope that they aren't using fakes. :\
