For all 3 of you, what are your favorite flowers?

Echo Flowers! I think they’re pretty cool, though unfortunately it seems they don’t grow well in really bright places so they’re much harder to grow on the surface. I don’t really see them around as much because of that, sadly.

It’s a bit hard to choose, but if I must I think my favorite would be zinnias. They look pretty cool, especially the zinnia bicolors. Dad grows a few of those in his garden, and the butterflies and bees always seem to enjoy those the best out of any of the flowers he grows.

My favorite flower happens to be the alpine rose. It used to be the golden flowers that one can commonly find growing around Mount Ebott, but let us just say that they bring back too many negative memories.

Frisk, do you ever miss your adventure through the underground?

Sometimes, yeah. But my life here on the surface is even better than my time in the underground!

Azzy, you don't sound excited about being king. Why?

Well, the truth is I’m not sure if I’ll be any good at it? I mean, I’ve made some really bad choices in the past, and while I’m trying to be better nowadays, I still kind of worry that I’ll mess something up really badly. 

Also, I never really got a say if I wanted to be king. I’m only next in line because my parents happened to be the underground’s rulers, not because I volunteered. I love my parents, and I wouldn’t trade them for anything, but sometimes I wish they were just regular people, not monarchs.

What do you think your futures will be like?

I know I’m going to get a college degree and become a real ambassador! I know Dad named me ambassador, but really I just make speeches sometimes. Papyrus does a lot of the paperwork and travels around attending meetings and all the “real” work because I’m just a kid. When I’m old enough, I’m going to go to college and get a degree so I can do that sort of stuff too. 

Other than that, I know it’ll be amazing! Azzy will be a great king, Chara will have their garden, Mom will have her school, Dad will be happily retired, all my friends will be happy and free. It’ll be the best ending I can think of!

Ultimately, I think it’ll be fine. 

I know that eventually Dad will want to retire, and I’ll have to step up and be king. It’ll be tough, but I think I’ll be able to manage it? I hope, anyways. Dad tells me it won’t be for a while yet, and he won’t step down until he’s sure everything is settled. I might have a century or two left before I have to take the crown, if I’m lucky, haha. 

But until then? I imagine it’ll be pretty fun.

I imagine that it would be tough in some ways, and not as idealistic as most monsters seem to assume. Yes, everyone is free, but many humans have, unsurprisingly, still not warmed up to their existence. I imagine it will take more than a few lifetimes for the situation to improve. 

Still, it is an improvement over being trapped in the underground. And I am glad that I get the opportunity to face it with my siblings and parents.

Each of you, what word would you use to describe yourself and why?

I’d describe myself as “helpful.” I really want to help my friends and family. And since Dad says that as part of the royal family, the whole kingdom is our family, then that includes all monsters!

Well, if I had to pick one word then I guess I’d go with “cautious.” After everything that’s happened, I try to be as thoughtful as I can so I don’t hurt people I care about more than I have.

So what are you up to these days?

A lot. Papyrus and I have been busy trying to keep humans and monsters on friendly terms. It’s been kind of tough sometimes, but I’m really happy I took the job!

Also, Alphys recently gave me a book on geology, and it’s pretty cool to read! It was written by humans a long time ago, so there isn’t anything like Waterfall’s glowing rocks in it, but I’m enjoying it so far!

Well, nothing really unusual has gone on, at least recently? 

Undyne was able to convince Mom to let us join Papyrus’s cooking lessons recently. She’d been rather worried when Papyrus brought up how the last lesson Undyne had with Frisk went, but it’s been a few years and she still hasn’t burned her and Alphys’s house down, so I’m guessing she’s not as worried about that happening anymore.

“To Save Those Who Can’t Be Saved” Headcanons

While Asgore did name Frisk as monsterkind’s ambassador, and Papyrus as the ambassador’s mascot, at the moment it’s pretty much the other way around; Frisk is too young to do the stuff associated with it, so Papyrus does a lot of the duties associated with the job like attend meetings, write reports, and the like. Frisk does plan on becoming an ambassador in more than name in the future, though, and they plan to go to college in the future to pursue it.

Asriel has resigned himself that he is the crown prince, and should anything happen to Asgore he will take over as king. If that hadn’t been as much of an issue, however, he would like to become a firefighter. 

Chara’s plan for the future mostly involves running a flower shop. They do, however, entertain the idea of going into a more scientific area of botany, to discover new types of plants and name them after their family.

Frisk is a perfectionist who gets really stressed if they think they can do better. One of their biggest fears is messing up something really important, and not being able to fix it.

Asriel isn’t the most organized person out there, and will occasionally misplace stuff because he put it somewhere he’d never think to find it. 

Chara almost exclusively wears clothing far more formal than the occasion calls for, trying to always make a good impression of the royal family and monsters in general. 

Frisk became interested in caves after their adventure in the underground, and so science is one of their favorite topics in school, especially when they cover earth science.

Asriel really enjoys cooking, as it’s often a really quick way to make others happy. 

Chara tends to tell puns when they’re comfortable with the people they’re telling them to, or about a subject they particularly like.

I’m not the messiest person, but I’m not really the neatest person. Chara is always hinting at me that maybe I should clean off my desk of random papers and books and stuff one of these days. But as long as I can find stuff, it doesn’t really matter if I don’t put a book back on the shelf immediately, right?

I’m, well, not always the best at putting stuff back where it belongs. I don’t leave stuff on the floor or in the way or anything, but I do lose stuff sometimes. I remember Chara was always on my case for that when we shared a room back in the underground. Thankfully they’re better about that now, especially since we have rooms of our own up here, but they still joke about how they and Mom are the only organized ones in the family.

I am very orderly person. I always make sure to wear my neatest clothes, so that humans will not get the wrong idea about monsters, and keep my room tidy and organized. It may be more work than just leaving the bed unmade, but I find that it is well worth the effort.
