Polish: Kwartet Smyczkowy No.1 d-moll Op.1a IV-Largo-Allegro Vivace

I have made 3 string quartets already however none of them seemed appealing to me so this is the one that i claim to be my first one. Officially it was supposed to be in D-minor anyway since this was one of my first compositions ever (composed back in 2009, the year i started doing it more seriously), however it was impossible to perform during the lack of experience from my side. Then i wrote the quartet in C-major wich was supposed to be my second one and completed it (not only the first part like in the first D-minor quartet), however after few years it also didin't seem to be good enough for publishing and it also had plenty of unplayable elements or too difficult. Then, few years ago i decided to compose the quartet in C-sharp minor wich was supposed to be my first but somehow did not feel like continuing it and it just was left there hanging as the third piece ever uploaded on this channel. A year or two ago i composed the first part of A-minor quartet number 2 wich i'll continue sooner or later, and today i decided to do this, also this quartet features some of my harmonic experiments.

I present you the first string quartet in D-minor wich actually got influenced by a great dear friend of mine, if not her i'd probably drop this as well or just would leave it hanging forever.

I was literally on fire, tomorrow (well in fact today, in couple of hours) i'm leaving to Finland for two weeks and this entire piece is a gift for my special lovely friend, and today i just took the remaining motivation and determination and squeezed everything out of myself and finished it just now, 05.09.2016 at 8:16 in the morning. I haven't slept but there it is, there it is the grand finale of the entire quartet. If you listened to previous parts you will recognise few familiar tunes in this part. Overall i'm very proud of this quartet and i consisder it as one of my (so far) most mature works, and most complex and innovative. It seems that this quartet despite the fact that it's in Op.1 is a breaking point in my composing career and my harmonic thinking.

This quartet is dedicated to a sweet person who deserves nothing but hapiness, and this is what i wish for her and what i will do to help her with anything she  ever needs. People like that are very rare to meet nowdays and especially if both of us got along so fast. She will always remain  dear for me no matter what will happen, i just know it.

It is funny because thanks to my dearest friend i mannaged to complete this one as well, if not her motivation i would probably leave this part also or just let it hang like the second quartet, symphony or piano concerto. This one is a gigantic harmonic experiment and i think that majority of my second parts are going to sound similar, this string quartet is a general experiment.

This is a gift for a special, dear sweet person who have done a lot for me already. I hope that this piece  and rest remaining parts will somehow express how happy i am that i have her in my life.
