Hey, so...

I'm kind of in a super shitty bind right now. To explain, I live with my folks, my mother doesn't work and .y father does.. but is an absolute idiot with his personal finances, an example being he hasn't paid his taxes or a student loan back in years.. sooo his paycheck is halved so it goes to them.

He has a second bank account for rent money to be funneled into. Thing is.. he dips into it to placate his bad spending habits. As the only other working person, my paycheck goes to my own bills, my mothers' expenses.. aaaand when he dips into the rent cash.. rent.

We were a couple hundred shirt and my check went to that, leaving me with about twenty dollars until Friday. That is.. not an idea amount of food cash for the apartment.

I feel like an incredibly mooch-y individual whenever I consider asking if someone could help donate towards a cause. I've done it already, and I'm both super thankful and guilty still over it.. but if anyone could help me reach at least fourty bucks for groceries for the next few days, I would appreciate it more thank you know. Seriously, it is fucking killing me to even type this out. I spent at least an hour psyching myself up to even ask that question.

Living in America sucks big-time.

i got this pen four years ago when i was working as a barista at starbucks. I was on the registers and taking the order of this woman, who ordered a nonfat latte, because she was “watching her weight”

so this guy behind her, whom no one was talking to, for some fucking reason says “wathing your weight? but what about the wait for your watch?“ (which is a completely unhinged response. like just complete Mad Hatter nonsense)

anyway this lady gets really uncomfortable and of the five people (me, him, her, the other checker, and the customer at the other register) who were now sucked into the uncomfortable silence, i decided that i should alleviate the tension by saying “you can’t wait for a watch; you don’t have the time”

and then he said “oh, quick girl!”, gave me that pen, got out of line, and left without ordering anything
