Welcome, welcome! This blog is run by mod @wistful-wren! This is a blog made for fun, so updates will come when I have the time for them! This blog follows a mysterious gym trainer who can understand Pokémon and her companion, a Zorua! What will they uncover in Galar? Well, stay tuned to find out.

Just a quick notice (ooc)

This blog will have its in-character askbox temporarily closed during ArtFight and a bit before then. So, from June 16th until August 2nd, this blog will not be responding to in-character asks. The mod is also graduating high school during the end of June, so they are not going to be able to draw much for this blog during that time.

HOWEVER..

I will be doing some Mundays, so I will open the askbox for Munday during that time period.

I'm curious. How's your illusion abilities fairing? From what I understand zouras typically struggle at first, but that's not always the case. Have a preferred form?

"I did definitely struggle at first. But I think my most preferred form is myself!"

"..Other than that, I have a Cherubi form. Not that I use it much, since I'm not allowed to participate in any of Penny's battles at the Gym. They've got strict type requirements for the trainers."

"Wow, is that a Gym Uniform? That's so cool- it looks really good on you! Are you wearing it to show your support? Or do you work there?"

"I work over in Turffield at the Grass Gym. It's mainly an internship for now, but it's not a bad job. I came over to Motostoke after helping with the Wooloo, so I didn't get the chance to change out of the uniform before then."

Penelope, how are you able to communicate with pokemon? It doesn't seem like something a normal trainer could do. Do you enjoy being able to do it?

"Oh, um. Yeah, it's not exactly the most common thing to see. I've only ever heard of one other person who's been able to do what I can.. So it's definitely... rare."

"As far as I know, I've been able to speak to them since I was very little. It's hard to say when I discovered it, really. I.. I guess I enjoy it..? You can learn a lot from just walking around different routes or even cities, at least in my experience."

"Um.. I'd prefer not to talk more about it, yeah..?"

"Wow being able to communicate with humans seems pretty cool! What's it like to he with a trainer with Penelope? How did you guys even meet?"

"She was the first human I ever saw, so it took me a while to learn that only she could understand me.. She was there when I hatched from my egg. And she's been the best companion, really!"

Just as a note:

The style of the asks will rotate between doodles and full art depending on what the ask is for now in order to not put too much strain on my arm (mod has a weird issue with their dominant hand).

Some might just have PMD icons, it depends on how busy I am as the mod.

Gym Challengers and other Pokémon trainers are coming from all over the Galar region to be able to participate in the upcoming Gym Challenge season for the year. You find yourself in Motostoke to watch the opening ceremony, which is coming up soon. On your way to your hotel, you stumble across a Pokémon trainer with a Grass Gym uniform holding a bag with an unusual Zorua on their shoulder.

They seem to be engrossed in conversation, as if the individuals can understand each other perfectly. That isn't very common here, at least not your knowledge. They seem to be looking around various shops in the city.

Are you curious enough to approach, or will you go on your way to your hotel? The choice is up to you, dear reader!
