Hello hello, and welcome to Ask the Magical Mons, a Magical Girl-Pokemon mashup blog! The story follows Camilla Pierce, a young trainer, her partner Pokemon, Red the Stufful, and their friends as they defend the world from darkness!

“I’m not 100% sure why they chose me, but I’m glad they did! I’ve been trying to do my best at the whole defend-the-world-from-darkness thing ever since!” - - -

[ @ask-theguard ] ??? the Smeargle approaches from the treeline, an eerie feeling following them. "You seem to understand Pokemon quite easily, human. Is it because of your 'Magical Girl' abilities?" they ask, studying the wand closely before looking up at Camilla.

"Most people where I live can understand Pokemon, Magical Warrior or not!"

[Munday] If you had a Pokemon as a partner irl, which would you pick?

Definitely Polteageist! Though, I can also see myself having a Yamper or a Meowth, or some other sort of cat/dog Pokemon.

Happy Munday!! How's it feel being back in the blog scene?

It feels really good!!! I honestly really miss having a longer-term but lower stakes project to work on. It's been so nice to reconnect with old friends in the community again, send out asks, do some casual rping..... I really missed this.

I hope to start up Ask the Oger again as well, but my motivation for it is a little lacking right now ^^'

HAP MUNDAY

What was your main inspiration when coming up with the blog?

I got the idea for the blog while I was dogsitting! I was taking the dog for a walk around the neighborhood, listening to my favorite music playlist. Now, I was already thinking of joining the Pokeask community again, but was struggling to come up with ideas for the premise. That was when Magical Girl Autopsy Report popped up. As I was listening, I was reminded of an old idea I had- Pokemon themed magical girls! Yes! It was perfect!

While the song was the thing that sparked the idea for the blog, my main inspiration for the plot and characters itself is various magical girl series, but mainly, Soaring Sky Precure, one of my favorite shows in the history of ever. I want to have the same lighthearted vibe of the show, with more serious moment scattered throughout!

Whats your favourite Pokémon?

Polteageist!! It's been my ride or die since I was 15 (about five years now). It's just so charming and silly and full of personality! I love ghost types, I love tea, I love the color purple,,,, it was made for me you see

Munday: if your characters weren't magical girls/boys, what would be their job?

Camilla's a high schooler, so her job would be going to school! I think when she's old enough, her first job would probably be working retail at a department store or something. Her ideal job of choice, however, would be a ballet dancer!

The affected individuals were in a terrible state, and battles against them were long and hard. The fact that you deal with them so regularly is very impressive.” She smiled down at the two partners, “I’m happy to hear you’re not alone either. If you’re willing to share I’d love to hear more about those you work alongside!”

"I'm....that means a lot to hear-"Camilla sniffs and wipes her eyes.

"Sorry about that, heh- anyways, yeah! I'd love to tell you about my friends/teammates/cool people I work with!"

"We've been friends for a long time, so it's so cool that we're both magical girls together! She knows how to cast WAYYYY more complicated spells than me- she tries to be modest about it, but like, she's so awesome!"

"She's really strong- you should see her with her crudgel! She works really really hard- she does softball along with school AND being a magical girl! I don't know how she does it- believe me, I've tried."

"I wish I knew why he was so sulky all the time...He's SUPER fast! He's reaaalllyyyy good at skating, and he's fun to play video games with! Speaking of, I should ask him to play a round of MagiKart with me when I get back! Maybe that'll cheer him up."

"It's also the team healer! They can make shields, too. She's a lot more experienced than the rest of us and gives really good advice on how to do magical stuff!"

"Oh! And their Pokemon partners, too! There's Fable, Sage, Taz, and Belle!"

"And that's our little team of ten!"

“I’ve been fighting Shadow Pokemon for a year now. Plus, there’s tons of Magical Warriors in the city! In fact, I’m part of a team of five! I usually don’t go on patrols alone, but everyone else was kind of busy, so I thought I’d surprise them and handle it myself!”

“I’d love to introduce you and everyone else to my friends after the patrol- I think you’d like them!”

“Well, I’m not sure what would happen, I’ve never seen any ‘shadow humans’ before, BUT! It would. Probably not be very good at all.”

“Even if he does have too much Shadow Energy, I can easily purify him, POOF! Just like that!”

Is it some kind of super rare secret human thing? If its secret you're doing a bad job at keeping it secret- Um, I mean..." Tzu hastily tries to think of another way to phrase his statement to be less rude, "Why aren't you keeping it uhm, secret? It seems special."

"Magical Warriors used to hide their identities, but that was before Julian announced his status as a magical boy to the public."

"That was ten years ago, though- I was just a little kid then."

"I guess that's why I decided not to keep it a secret- I'm just used to others being open about it. That, and I didn't want to lie to my family and friends."

“Being a magical girl is a pretty Important job. It’s a lot of work, but it’s really rewarding!”

“It took me a while to find a balance between my magical duties, school, and my free time, but I’ve basically got it nailed down now, if I do say so myself!”

“Me and Red are responsible for calming down and purifying shadow Pokemon, as well as keeping the peace between people and Pokémon in general!”

“We also give out autographs and photos, if you want one!”
