Here's the rundown for the au!!! Something goes very different during the final run. A LONG TIME AGO… TWO RACES RULED OVER THE EARTH. OR SO WE THOUGHT. There were two main races that ruled over the Earth, HUMANS and MONSTERS. For a time, they lived in peace, coexisting with minor conficts, However, soon, humans hubris grew, dragging them into the depths of greed. They sealed away the monsters, seeking desperately for power over the bountiful world. Human mages sealed the monsters underground, beneath a mountain with strange properties. Something felt WRONG as years went on.
AMIDST THE QUIET. PRIMORDIAL BEASTS HID IN CAVES BEYOND HUMAN REACH.
These beasts, through their slumber heard naught of the monsters plight, all except for very few, drifting into the underground with the other monsters, these beasts a bridge between both human and monster- determined and determination. Skeletons, some of the most primordial monsters were known communicators with these beasts. When they awoke, they found themselves in a world alterred, changed, their companions amongst monsters and men now sealed away.

Anecdotes / extra notes! Primordials = monsters so old , and so separate they are tied together between humans and monsters. They're extremely rare now, but before they had been common. They can be confused for monsters, after many years of stories about dragons, and beasts with great power, much like monsters.
Monsters = You know them, you love them, they come in great varieties, and even greater numbers, many are sealed in different places, or have taken to hiding with primordials as humans can't reach them to hurt them. Typical magic forms are fire, healing, plants, or specific types based on environment.
Humans = Typically magically uninclined after years of evolution adapting out of magic due to lack of monsters. Some humans are still magically inclined but end up persecuted for similarities to monsters, ghouls and witches. The magically inclined are often outcasts if not actively hunted. Can rarely be found hiding with Primordials. Often apothecaries or healers of some sort.
Primordials anecdotes - Primordials can be born of exceptionally determined individuals, regardless of race. Though it is more common to see primordial families, it isn't uncommon for others to be taken in for safety. Typically primords can learn multiple types of magic like monsters, but only specialize in a maximum of three. For most, only 2.
