Currently in search of a way to follow my son to whatever land he fell through to and bring him back, dead or alive. this is an indie ask/rp blog, my main verse going AU post-the scene in 2x22 where Belle's memory returned...everyone else left for Neverland in search of Henry while Belle and Rumplestiltskin remained in Storybrooke to protect it and find a way to bring Neal's body back to Storybrooke. multi-verse, will rp with pretty much anyone, just ask!

She tightened the embrace and let her tears fall as she held him. “I-I thought I lost you…”

Rumple held her tightly, pressing his forehead against hers. “As did I, sweetheart, but I’m here. Not going anywhere, I promise you.”

She smiled as the tears streamed down her face.”B-But what about the prophecy? Wasn’t Pan your undoing?”

"Indeed, or so I thought. Quite honestly? I've no idea how I was returned here after what happened, nor could I even begin to guess why." Rumple brushed the tears from Belle's cheeks gently, then tilted his head down a bit to kiss her for the first time since they'd been separated.

She was, in fact, lost. But she’d be damned if she told him that.

"How did you get in, anyhow? This place is protected with very powerful magic." He was exaggerating, of course. It was merely a simple warding spell...child's play, really, but beside the point.

The fae stood there cautiously, before bringing her gaze to the man.  She had heard much about him, but never had she laid eyes upon him before…He seemed different.

Anastasia walked up to the counter, shaking her head. “Forgive me, It’s just, I believe I misplaced something here once before…a mirror?  It used to belong to my grandmother.”

Gold looked up from his bookkeeping, intrigued. "A mirror, you say? Could you perhaps describe it to me? Over the years, I've found myself with quite the assortment of mirrors." He picked up his cane and crossed the room to look in one of the glass cases.

Rumple tapped lightly on Belle’s door to announce his arrival, then entered and quickly crossed the room to sit in the chair at her bedside.

"Belle," he whispered, already barely holding back tears at seeing his true love like this. He’d always known this moment would arrive sooner or later, she being mortal and he the Dark One, but the time had flown by and it was now and he couldn’t stop it, couldn’t save her.

She was sleeping, so he just leaned his cane against the wall and took her hand in his gently, waiting for her to wake.

The cancer had taken a toll on her . She had fought it and won three times already. However, when the cancer came back this time, it made it harder for her to keep fighting.

Now this strong woman was laying in her hospital very weak. She had little energy anymore. Still, she was trying to keep fighting. For Rumple. She couldn’t leave him.

Her eyes fluttered opened to see him standing there. “Rumple…” she used any energy she had to smile.

Rumple's face lit up at the sound of his beloved's voice, then faded slightly when he realized just how weak she was now.

"Belle..." He paused as a nurse bustled in to check on Belle, then left just as quickly once her work was done. "How did you sleep?"

"Have I ever not come back, dearest?"
