2012 vs. 2016

Homestuck was quite a ride. I joined back in 2012, and the Vriska was my first proper fanart for it. So I decided to redraw it, as my goodbye.

Thanks to Homestuck I met incredible people, some of my best friends. It was quite the fandom to get started with on tumblr. Thanks to its popularity I always had cause to improve and show off my skills. Vriska and Mindfang were pretty much my babies for a long time. Especially the latter thanks to @askthepiratequeen.

So I guess, what I want to say is: thank you. Thank you, Hussie, thank you, Homestuck. Thank you, followers, for sticking around. Thank you, friends, for loving and supporting me. It’s been a gr8 time, now we just have to keep doing our best!

It is in fact not dead.

But if you collect the facts from my latest posts - I am taking a break and I don’t know for how long. Also I need money because I’m in debt, so drawing things for free is not really a priority right now.

If you however want to pay me to draw answers on here go right ahead. Otherwise you’ll have to wait until I’m ready to come back, sorry.

Edit: Just to make it clear, I am not asking you guys to pay me for askblog updates. This blog is free and will stay free, I just need things sorted out before I can get back to doing this. Commissions are however very much appreciated. Thank you all for sticking around, it's just a really hard time for me.

can you do more GoT and Homestuck family crossovers?

(I literally answered that in my very latest post. There is not even the need to scroll or anything. If someone really really really wants/needs me to draw more GoT/Homestuck: My commissions are open as always and extra money is always good.

Anyway I’m taking this opportunity to announce that I am going to take a break from my askblogs. I don’t know for how long. I’m not feeling well at the moment and I want to concentrate on things that lift me up.

I’m going to leave the askbox open in case you want to send in questions. Maybe I’ll feel randomly inspired by something. If you want to talk to me personally just send me an ask on my main. I check that blog more often than this one.

Could we possibly see more Game of Thrones/Homestuck crossovers? I loved the House of Serket!

(Hello and thank you. I’m glad you liked it. I’m very fond of the designs myself haha.

Actually I am not planning on doing more with that crossover. Maybe once I get inspiration and motivation that directs itself at Homestuck I might do more with it, since I really like the designs. A few of my friends are planning to do something for it as well, so if you are patient a few other houses might pop up! :D)

House Serket

A family where women rule and men are only good for reproduction. If at all.

The current head of the family is Spinneret. Her daughter Aranea is determined to follow in her footsteps. Her niece Vriska is actually her brother's bastard daughter. Spinneret decided to adopt her and make her family, giving her the family name. According to her, Vriska is the only good thing her brother was ever responsible for.

They live in the desert, but tend to visit the capital often. Aranea and Vriska made friends with the princesses, much to the Queen's dismay.

It goes without saying that Serkets have no respect for the crown. Their fortune mainly increases thanks to piraty and the flourishing black market. If there would happen to be an uprising, the Serkets would be the first ones to fund it.

Spinneret lost her arm and eye in battle to a Pyrope, who she did manage to kill. She meant to overtake her soldiers, but the so called White Dragons remained loyal to the Pyrope family.

A common saying that is frequently mistaken for their house words is:
