I just wanted to share this article about Palestine's right to revolt and why it is important that we support it. It also has sources embedded in the text that debunk misinformation about them and Hamas. I implore everyone to read it and spread this information around.
Always remember that Palestine was explicitly granted the right to armed resistance by the United Nations, against the zionist occupation. The article mentions the U.N. enshrining that right for occupied and colonized people, but the U.N. also explicitly named Palestine in the resolution, as well as Namibia and Zimbabwe who were also fighting against apartheid and illegal occupation.
Given recent events (and less recent frankly), it may behoove everyone to read up on the history of the Blue Line.
When you state that Israel is a WHITE colonial project and people start breaking down the demographics of Israelis for you... How do you miss the point so badly. It doesn't matter how diverse the colony is when its PURPOSE is to uphold imperialism and white supremacy in the region. People of color can and have contributed to such projects and it doesn't change what they are. The US army is diverse too and it exists to enforce white imperialism.

Overwhelming consensus on this post is that you should come out in your superhero identity first, and then a couple weeks down the line come out in your secret identity and when people ask just go “Oh seeing Spider-Girl come out really gave me the confidence to come out myself” which is the best possible answer

that "is elesh norn conventionally attractive" post has reminded me to be angry about how her design has been gradually shifted to be less monstrous and more feminine over the years. the inhumanity is the reason the original concept art by richard whitters and the art for her first card by igor kieryluk make her so character design so compelling.
she's not a woman, she's a flesh construct that's vaguely woman-shaped. this is the glistening oil's blind attempt at recreating a symbol of holy purity.
by the next time we see her on a magic card, kieryluk's design has already been watered down into a more typically feminine shape. she looks like she could have at one point been an ordinary woman here. the gore texture has been removed to make her midriff look like a normal, albeit red, woman's tummy. her limbs are practically normal, and if she's still 8 feet tall in this pic she doesn't look like it.

WHAT I'M SAYING is that elesh norn WASN'T conventionally attractive, we just got frogboiled into her design being more like that.
As much as I love ONE, this was sadly a trend in Phyrexian art we see between NPH and ONE–a lot of their more eerie, biomechanical features got watered down into what can generously be called the "human in cosplay" look. The negative space defining their silhouettes was filled out, and their sinew came to look less like part of them and more like clothing.
I'm not completely against the more modernized, polished designs we see for every Phyrexian faction in ONE, and the general visual design for that set is breathtaking, but I don't like that a lot of the previous body horror was just taken away rather than added to. I like to see Phyrexians being Phyrexians, and their obvious "inhuman" features are a big part of that. They take pride in their distance from organic life, and their bodies should reflect that.
From a story perspective, I can understand why Elesh Norn looks more like a human woman than other core-born Phyrexians (even in NPH), since her propaganda draws heavily from imagery of motherhood–but she still shouldn't look like a standard human in cosplay, which Mother of Machines starts to resemble. Notably, lots of people forget she is 12 feet tall. Her resemblance to human femininity makes sense to be deliberate, but that shouldn't mean it comes at the cost of her visual Phyrexian-ness.

We actually do not know how many have been killed in Gaza. The numbers of those killed per day are seemingly less everyday compared to the start of the war, but we also hear of new daily massacres. We’re also hearing of Palestinians dying of starvation everyday, a number which is not included in the death toll. There’s not enough search and rescue teams to pull people from under the rubble, or that it’s too dangerous to do so. The Ministry of Health is unable to function properly, doctors and nurses are being killed off as hospitals are routinely bombed over and over, which means the current death toll is not being updated frequently and is most likely inaccurate. The carnage that Israel has left and continues to leave will only further result in the deaths of hundreds, if not thousands, even long after this ‘war’ is over. Does that not scare you? Does that not anger you?
Update: This week, The Lancet, a medical journal, published a report suggesting that by applying conservative estimates of 4 indirect deaths for every direct death to the current amount of deaths reported, the projected Gaza death toll is at 186, 000 or more.

This is one of those true, declassified government things that always sounds made up but one of the things Henry Kissinger did with his career was use the CIA to help turn small, prosperous socialist nations into fascist dictatorships just to keep those nations powerless and possibly to keep socialist systems *looking* doomed and futile to the American public, like maybe just to scare Americans out of demanding better infrastructure or universal income. Yes it sounds like an insane conspiracy theory a maniac would invent. It also happened multiple times and several generations of people around the world are still living in misery because of it.
