Clair@Avery: "You say you were a human..." She seems off-put by the idea. "Were you also a trainer too? What do you think of training pokemon now, now that you are one yourself?"
“Yeah, I was a trainer! I wasn’t much of a battler or coordinator, though.”
“As for what I think of it now… Well, I guess it’s a little awkward.”
“But I love being able to understand Pokemon now! It’s one of the best parts about this whole scenario!”
When the boss has the final phase thats just them begging/cowering for their life
when the boss has the final phase thats just them begging you to kill themÂ
(askthesilentforce) Andrew pushed open the door to his father's house, stepping outside. He'd been visiting Serene Village, and he was supposed to visit Nuzleaf next, but he couldn't find him anywhere. He walked up hesitantly to Nuzleaf's door. He still didn't trust his old neighbor, after all this time. He didn't understand how Avery could forgive him so easily. Regardless, he knocked softly on the door.
The door was met with an eerie silence. The child could wait for hours, and he would not hear even a peep of response, or a single creak of of movement. However, he may find that the door is unlocked.
askthesilentforce:
Crutches..? Didn’t Nuzleaf need those to walk or something..?
Andrew immediately ran back to the village, screaming for his father.
At first, he was going to wait for a few minutes, just in case Andrew wanted to report back to him. But he was getting impatient. He turned back to the gate when he heard his screaming, running towards him.
“Andrew!? What is it?!”
He did not like where this was going…
“Pops! I-I found something..! I was on the hill, and Nuzleaf’s crutches were there!”
“They looked pretty beat up… I don’t know what happened…”
“What? Where!?”
“I already said it was the hill! Just come on!”
And with that, Andrew ran off again.
“I’m coming I’m coming!”
He rushed after Andrew. Of course, he wasn’t very fast. He was big, heavy, and getting old, and it didn’t help that his legs were short either.
He did eventually reach the hill. And sure enough, Nuzleaf’s crutches were there.
…
“What do we do..? He could be anywhere.”
“Maybe he went in the direction of the forest?”
He stayed quiet. For some reason, he couldn’t say anything. Just… Stare at the broken crutches under the tree. The implication terrified him, so many thoughts ran through his mind, and he couldn’t make sense of any of them.
He was so lost in thought that he did not notice a large, faintly avian shadow whizzing by.
“Pops..? Are you okay?”
Andrew was going to try and figure out what Carracosta was thinking, before the shadow caught his eye.
“Wh-Whoa! Pops, watch out!”
As soon as the figure had appeared, it had left, flying on as if not noticing the two Pokemon below it.
“Huh..? It’s gone?”
That was strange. He could’ve sworn something just flew near them.
This only made him even more worried.
“Pops..? C’mon, we gotta go.”

askthesilentforce:
“So you haven’t seen him either…”
“Just where is he?! He can’t just up and leave like this! People get worried!”
Even as he said this, he knew Nuzleaf did this all the time. Well, sort of. He didn’t even leave a note this time, did he?
Oh, wait. He didn’t even check.
“I’ve told him to stay in bed…! When I go to check on him, he’s suddenly gone…”
“I swear, if this man has up and got himself hurt again-”
“Pops, calm down..!”
“He’s probably fine. He couldn’t have gotten far, could he?”
“I’m sorry child…”
“But… Where in the world would he have gone? He had no reason to leave the house as far as I knew, I didn’t hear the door opening…”
“Got it. He must still be inside!”
And with that, Andrew promptly ran off to the residential area.
“Andrew, I’ve already-”
Aaaand he’s gone.
Andrew immediately kicked the unlocked door open. Nuzleaf probably wasn’t in here, but maybe he left something behind… He didn’t plan on staying long, though.
If one didn’t know better, then one would have thought the house was abandoned for years.
Nothing had appeared to been touched. Not the furniture little “furniture” that was in the house, not the boxes, not the water tub… And there was no note in sight.
Weird. If he wasn’t here, how’d he leave? Through the window?
Why would he leave though? Nothing made sense…
Andrew stepped out and closed the door.
Okay, so he wasn’t in the house, or in the village… Where else? The hill with the tree?
At the hill, there was nothing unusual there.
Except for broken crutches.
Crutches..? Didn’t Nuzleaf need those to walk or something..?

Huh? That was… weird. Nuzleaf usually left his door unlocked, but he almost always answered. Maybe he wasn’t home?
Andrew knew Nuzleaf wasn’t on a mission. Maybe he had some personal matters to take care of..?
No, that’s not it. Something wasn’t right here. Did something happen..?
The child ran back into the plaza. Maybe someone in the village would know where he was.
Shoot where could man have gone off to now?! He told him not to wander off anymore, and yet-
He’d be lying if he denied freaking out, just a little bit.
Andrew scanned the village plaza. He didn’t find Nuzleaf… although he wasn’t expecting to anyway. Who was he supposed to ask, anyway..?
I swear to Arceus if you’ve gotten yourself hurt again-
He doesn’t seem to be anywhere in town. It looks he was going to head out the village to see if he could find any sign of the goblin like Pokemon. He headed for the town gate.
Andrew was about to give up on asking around, since he didn’t think anyone else would know.
But then turtle dad caught his eye at the town gate. Maybe he knew something?
“Hey! Uh, Pops! Hey!”
Andrew immediately ran up to Carracosta.
“Pops, have you seen Nuzleaf anywhere?”
The voice of his adopted child caught him by surprise.
“Ah, Andrew… Sorry…”
Andrew was looking for Nuzleaf too?
“Actually, I was just looking for him too…”
“So you haven’t seen him either...”
“Just where is he?! He can’t just up and leave like this! People get worried!”
