This blog is run by @tymamomimi! Please direct any questions towards the creator there!
You may reupload, translate, dub or use Vigilstars' arts for pfp/header with proper credits!
You may make fan content (including ship/selfship)! However just in case, please refrain from romantic content including adults/minors or family members, I really do NOT appreciate it.
Do NOT use Vigilstars for harassment/hate content. Do NOT use this blog's content for AI training.
Please do not be upset if your ask goes unanswered. There has been quite an increase in question asked, so if you don't see your ask answered its either because your ask 1) touches upon a subject that I want to explore properly later (most likely), 2) has already been answered, 3) is a simple comment, or simply 4) lagged behind/I have been busy.
On a story note: Mindful of unreliable narrator and ESPECIALLY heavy canon divergence/personal interpretations!
Lastly, dear Readers, I hope you enjoy your journey!

Yo!
Could you tell me a little more about the local Killer Sans?
For example, how is he different from the original, what does he do in his free time, and does he have any strange quirks?
Outside of the Gang's missions, Killer regularly visits and helps out Ccino's. He likes fashion, has a little workshop, and has been reading lots of superheroes comics - he used to claim it's to gain inspiration for new fighting skills, though he dropped that excuse a while ago.
There's this one post I've seen (couldn't find it but it was great) that raised a really good point on state-dependent memory when it comes to Ink. it's basically the phenomenon where you can better recall a memory when you're in the same state (emotionally or physically) as when that memory happened, right? An example of this applying to Ink is consuming red/orange paints helping him better recall past battle experiences.
Going on for so long at such low emotion levels compared to normal though... It's not just a matter of being emotionless. Not being able to get into specific emotional states means there's very little opportunities that can provide memory retrieval triggers. In other words, he has trouble experiencing emotions that can reminds him of similar memories, and he also has trouble forming clear new memories due to not being able to assign them specific emotions in the moment. He does write important things down on his scarf a lot, which is why its so worn, and he also has a sketchbook to record memories he doesn't want to lose.
Maybe there could even be unintentionally triggered memories during missions/fights since that's when he actively consumes more paints than usual. However, with his body already accustomed to low emotions, it might take a while for the paints to settle in. He has developed an innate feel for how much paint certain attacks/skills need, and prefers ending conflicts quickly because of this. Would the reason why Ink's duties became his motivations is becaused they have been so closely associated with his low emotion state, I wonder?
While on the topic of memories... Dream and Blue also have some issues with it too, Dream's biggest issue being large patches in his memory whenever the Corruption takes over. While Blue's glitches have stabilised over the years, the traumatic circumstances of his transformation and the innate instability of being an Error means his memories are stil rather blotchy, with his past life's memories almost impossible to retrieve. They're all Definitely the type to block out bad memories and leave them to be dealt with later, I think.
Hello there! I love your comic a lot. I was just wondering, cause uh, I found the last two chapter things a bit hard to follow, what was going on in the fight scenes?
Thank you for following my story! My apologies to you and readers in general for the readabilities in fight scenes hahah. There's a lot of people engaging in their own fights during this battle (which is also moving very fast), so I understand it might be hard to follow (I'm afraid it's not gonna get any better next update...)
Here's a basic chart of everyone's position on the battlefield and who they're fighting as of the current update:
The main thing to keep in mind is that the Stars are trying to escape without being followed, the Henchmen are trying to capture them, and MTT are kicking up a storm so the Stars can escape safely
Atelier - A travelling mercenary who always remembers a favor. Her service is always in high demands thanks to her code repairing powers - however, she only strikes deals she takes an interest in, seemingly always searching for a story bigger than herself...
Blook - A strange person who simply appeared and started following the Council's Frontman one day. No one knows their story, their origin, not even their real name - yet they're always in the background, watching on with an amused smile.
The Omega Timeline is home to a lot of residents from different Undertale AUs, and you can't really go for more than a few minutes without encountering a different variant of yourself if you're a main character variant.
That's why nicknames become especially important - it would usually be the first thing to be requested of you after you have settled down, often by Core!Frisk themselves as they will be able to tell you right away if your nickname is available.
Most of the time people choose something personal, or related to their original universe. A few can keep their original names if they have a special title, like a Queen from a Neutral Timeline for example (as a trivia, those tend to be rarer as most monarches stay extremely loyal to their Universe).
As for Rus, he didn't intend to stay in the OT for too long when he first got here, so he just accepted the first thing suggested by Frisk, and it stuck to this day.
How many times a day was swap papyrus trip on his UNTIED shoe laces? Also does he have a nickname?
Do a coin flip. If head, he is probably going the entire day round the town without even the townspeople stepping on the shoelaces, much less himself. If tails, he gets out of bed and immediately faceplants.
In the current climate, the Omega Timeline has found itself in a rather tight spot, having to navigate through the crossroads between many different conflicting lives and factions. It's role as the Multiverse's main hub and refuge for people who has lost their home becomes even more important with the Errors' continuous destruction and the Council's quality control system.
Among the residents of the Omega Timeline, many different lives crosses, and a small group of competent scientists and mechanics slowly comes together...

Lastly, dear Readers, I hope you enjoy your journey!
So something just occured to me, and I'm curious what you think about it.
So in the original Dreamtale canon, Dream is constantly exuding a positive aura that makes the people around him feel better. Now this is helpful and great and all, but it also leads into a lot of emotional issues for him, as he sees his relationships as fake because of it. Afterall, very few people are immune to him, so almost everyone is biased towards liking him, and so it' very hard for him to know who his real friends are, not to mention he can't hang around most people too long because he doesnt want them growing dependent on his aura.
Now, i dont know if that's canon to Vigilstars, but if it is, I was wondering if maybe the corruption could have nullified it? It just occured to me and I think it could be a very interesting possibility. Silver lining amidst all the other, terrible consequences of it
Yes this is something I have been pondering about. How do I put this...
The corruption is constantly radiating negativity, so most often it balances out or weakens Dream's passive positive aura. On most days, it leaves him on a neutral, occasionally slightly positive inducing state. Relationship wise, Dream does have a slightly better basis, as Ink can't affect or be affected by his abilities, and Blue has proven again and again that he will stick with Dream no matter the effects his auras may have on him. As you have said - it's a small silver lining in his situation, one he's grateful for.
However... The very nature of his situation does spawn several different, no less complicated problems for him. First of all, keeping his positivity balanced being a top priority means he can't afford to let other people around him tip that balance - in other words, he has to make sure they like him, they are happy, and are not frightened by the sight of Corrupted on his body.
This, coupled with the fact that their line of work often puts them in AUs with problems, and that his passive aura is more muted, means that he has to make a conscious effort to use his positive aura more than he would normally. In a way, he's resorted to actively using his powers both out of his own altruism, and as a defensive mechanism to make sure people around him and himself wouldn't be hurt.
Of course, using his powers like that usually leaves him quickly drained and vulnerable to Corrupted's influences (as we will see). This is also why they usually choose places further from civilization as their rest stops. I believe Dream would also internalise this as him being manipulative, actively using his powers to make other people like him for his own gains, feeling guilty despite knowing it's what he has to do to persevere...
no the errors are more like. that one dude HARD carrying the entire group's reputation by trying his best while the others very rarely stopping their aura farming to flash the crowd a smile
