Artie: Aww. Think of me instead...instantly better! ;) CoD. I accidentally yelled and woke up people.
Quinn: You do, that's true! I feel like if you were here you'd be the best person to run lines with. I just feel so easily distracted lately. Haha, aw, well tell them that you're in the midst of a very important round!
Things to Talk About || Quartie
Artie laughed, as he cut open the bacon package, pulling some out and throwing it into the frying pan, being mindful of how close his sleeve was to the burner. The stove wasn’t the ideal height, but it was definitely low enough that he could make it work.
“You don’t need to be grateful,” he insisted, as he washed his hands at the sink. “We love having you here.”
Quinn hoisted herself onto the kitchen counter beside the stove, watching. It seemed like the moment the bacon hit the pan the aroma filled the air and she closed her eyes, breathing in the smell. She liked these moments best, when it was just the two of them, talking, doing whatever. She really cherished them, especially now that she spent much of her time away from him in New Haven.
"I do..." She ran her fingers along the counter's surface, her eyes darting away from Artie. "My family's not... They aren't exactly... I'm really glad that yours welcomes me with such open arms."
Texting || Quartie
Artie: How's that going? I'm in the middle of an Xbox marathon of sorts.
Quinn: It's really, really boring. Oh, that sounds fun! What game this time?
Things to Talk About || Quartie
“We have extra because we have a house guest that really likes bacon,” Artie laughed, pulling out a package and placing it in his lap, before closing the fridge and heading over to grab a frying pan.
“Plus, it was on sale, and bacon is expensive!” he added, laughing again. “Have to stock up while it’s cheap! Not that I want to feed you cheap bacon, but…”
Quinn smiled brightly, watching him. "You Abrams are so sweet to me... I'm really grateful for that, you know?" She'd never told him so, but she much preferred his family as an example of a loving family than her own very dysfunctional one.
"Cheap bacon?!" She teased, exaggerating once more. "I could never eat such a thing!" She tried to remain serious but laughed after a moment. "I really do appreciate all you and your family do for me."

Artie: I don't really know what I mean. I'm just...self-preserving...or something.
Artie: No, it's ok...I will. What are you doing?
Quinn: I see, I see.
Quinn: Well, if you're sure. I'm studying some lines, how about you?
