Secret Santa: A pack of expensive cigarettes.
Well shit, must be my lucky day.
I don’t think you exactly want to either. [A small smile lit up Molly’s lips as she looked to him. Her head nodded slowly.] Of course, what else would I be doing?
[Sebastian rolled his eyes.] Well, I was hoping you'd get out a little bit. But I guess I have to do everything. How about we go and get some dinner tonight?
Jim? You still speak to him? [Molly was a bit confused by this. She knew they were once flatmates, but that they still spoke confused her. Molly didn’t even know Jim was still around actually.] He’s still here? That’s news to me I suppose…
Can't get rid of him. I mean, we're still living together, anyways. [Sebastian shrugged, lighting up a cigarette.] Yeah, he likes it here, doesn't really want to go anywhere, you know? What about you, still hanging around the morgue all day?
Sebastian! [Molly smiled a bit brighter upon seeing the familiar face. Seeing anyone was a gift anymore.] Welcome, I’m happy to have some company. Don’t tell my microscopes but they aren’t very interesting.
[Sebastian gave a bow of sorts when she smiled.] At your service. [He chuckled.] Well, I'm glad I'm more interesting than microscopes, although I'm sure Jim would make an argument against that and win.
[Molly looked up from her mug of tea, sighing to herself as she did so.] O-Oh… Hello. I didn’t know anyone was here? Do you need something?
Well, it's just been awhile since I've seen you, Molly. Figured I'd pop in, say hello.

“A vacation, huh? Where you tryin’ to go?” Vacations were an impossibility whenever one was associated with S.H.I.E.L.D., for their schedule always was altered whenever they wished for it the least. “Well, then again, they’re kinda the ones puttin’ you in danger in the first place.” Jo manages a crooked grin. She had a difficult relationship with S.H.I.E.L.D. Though they frequently endangered her life, submerging her in missions of vast complexity, but they also provided her a stable outlet for her more volatile emotions.
“Guess that makes sense.” Jo does not expand further on the subject regarding pass or fail versus life or death. She had received more failing grades than passing in her speckled past, and the consequences had often been more severe than one would have imagined. Her mother always made her disappointment evident, allowing it time to chip away at Jo’s pride and confidence. “I take it they’ve already got our IDs and stuff worked out?” she pauses, absorbing the new information. “Do you have an informational file on our cover and such?”
She runs a hand through her hair, tousling the blonde curls, before proceeding. “I mean, I don’t really think they’d be puttin’ you on a case like this if you had any kind of background with goin’ rouge, or really if they had any doubt at all.” Though Jo was unaware of Sebastian’s background, she found it logical to assume it was pretty clean. “Yeah, I should be able to buy you ten minutes.” Jo discovered a while back that she was decent at stalling for time, especially when it required kicking and fighting. Several people appeared to be rather surprised when a girl of her size took down a man at least twice her weight.
“Yes, you can.”
"Anywhere I can. I mean, you get a few weeks off, you want to go someplace, not just sit around. Never have been able to convince them to let me go to Russia. Worried the Russians will take me out or something," Sebastian said with a chuckle. "True, protecting me and nearly killing me. The life of a SHIELD agent." He leaned back in his chair, "Ah well, wouldn't have it any other way."
"Yeah, all taken care of," he said. He opened a desk drawer and rummaged through a few piles of paper work, pulling out two folders. He handed one to her, "Here's your cover and ID. It's all in there. To be honest, I haven't had a chance to look at mine. Just got back from a job in India, bit of a nightmare really. Underground experimentation, just asking for trouble."
"Good," he said, nodding his head. "Now, while we're talking, I might as well let you know a few other things. Not strictly related to the case, but, it might be helpful in preparing. The CEO of this company is the one who set up the device. It's his making, hence why we're disabling it while he's away. However, he's an old...friend...or enemy of mine, if you will. So as soon as he realizes it's me who's breaking in, that's when the trouble will start. Any more questions?"

Anna nodded “Yeah, that is quite true, but it is good if they knew the name to look for other articles to read about, they might even find a case worth fighting for” she said with a smile “well taking Vitamins pills is a better option”.
Anna happily grinned full with teeth “that’s their lost, I would love to be your photographer though.” she frowned “yeah, some people are too afraid to take chances or to enter what they think is gonna destroy what they think is their perfectly good life. what doesn’t touch them, they can’t be concerned about” she said with a sad smile.
"Don’t say that your articles are great, you might win and then stand their with no speech whatsoever, at least tell me you prepared one" She smiled again "I will be honored to join you"
"I suppose so," Sebastian conceded, "But everyone else tries to focus the attention on me, and that's not what I want. I'm just the one writing on other people's struggles. It's not like I'm the one struggling myself." He chuckled, "Maybe I'll have to pick some of those up next time I'm at the store. Probably would do me some good."
"I'd be glad to have you," he said. "If you don't take any risks you can't gain anything. At least, that's what I've always thought, which is probably why there are a half a dozen people out to get me." He nodded, sighing, "That's what annoys me. I mean, just because you're sitting pretty doesn't mean the rest of the world is."
He laughed, "Hey, it's worked out pretty well for me so far. I've only ever won one award, and I didn't have a speech prepared. I just winged it, didn't sound half bad either." He smiled, "But maybe I'll write something down." He paused, "So, I can pick you up if you like, or we can meet somewhere and take a cab or my car, whatever you prefer."

Anna nodded “Yeah, it is more important to remember what we did than what is our name is” she said with a smile, her face turned to worry after his comment “That isn’t healthy you know, you can at least eat a fruit or something like that, it won’t be as messy”.
Anna grinned “I guess that is what is so appealing about it”, Anna’s heart was flying from happiness working with your favorite journalist is a beautiful dream every photographer has.”Really? I will be honored, but I thought places like those are what photographers and journalists wish to find, since almost every award winning picture or article is about suffering or war?” .
Anna smiled and nodded “Wow, that is great congrats, I hope you win”, she remembered the nominees and his name was on of them. Her whole face light up “Really? I am dreaming aren’t I?”, she said beaming.
"Exactly," Sebastian said, "I don't want people to remember my name because I wrote on these issues. I'd rather they remember and think about the issues I write on. Those are far more important, and in my opinion, more interesting." He rolled his eyes, "Well, I would eat fruit, but it makes your fingers sticky, hard to type. Easier not to eat, even if it isn't as healthy."
"Yes, I'd love to work with you," he said, "And yeah, that's what I thought too, but there's been some issues, controversies. It's a bit annoying when you need a photographer for your articles and no one is willing to take pictures. A lot of people in town aren't my biggest fans, can't blame people for trying to stay out of the conflict."
"Thank you, but I'm not expecting it," he said, "I mean, I'm up against a lot of other talented writers." He smiled, "Yes, I mean, I don't have anyone else to go with, and I'd enjoy it more with company."

Jim hummed in agreement. “True, true,” He mumbled, fingers scratching absently at the side of his watch. Jim’s job was one of the better of them- paying wise, that was. The actual composing and playing tended to be a bitch- but he still had to be careful the way he spent his money. Even eating out at the diner had an effect on his weekly expenses. “Money doesn’t grow on trees,” He said with a laugh. He gave a weak smile at the other man’s mention of his parents. When they were still around, Jim held a pretty decent relationship with his own parents, but that was well before he had landed his current job. He isn’t quite sure now how they would have reacted when they figuered out that he wanted to go into music. “Wish I could say the same,” He grinned. “But my friends were pretty shocked with my job, so I guess that’s something.
"Well, I’m a shit writer, so don’t feel too bad. Even with composing, I can never get what I want onto that damned paper. I don’t know how you guys do it every single day." Jim’s face lit up slightly. "Yeah, I’d love that! I’ve never seen one in person- Just walked past every now and then."
"Too true," Sebastian said, "If money grew on trees, well, we'd probably come up with a new system of money, just to make sure nothing changed. That's how people are, just want to keep the status quo," he said. "Really? I mean, you're obviously very talented at music, why were they surprised? Although, I guess my friends would have been, but I don't exactly have many friends," he said.
"Your words just aren't words, they're notes and chords," he said, "So it's still writing, just a different type I guess. Sometimes it takes time though, being under a time crunch for the paper is sometimes the worst. You just don't feel like the piece is finished but you just have to be satisfied with it, as it is." He smiled, "I've been working in there for years, it still amazes me."

"One of the few that were," Jim mused, pulling his jacket tighter to his being with his free hand. He inched just a little bit closer to Sebastian with his next sentence. "No, that’s alright. I’m recording it. Not that you have time, but whatever," He shrugged, rolling his eyes. "Could always move." It was more of a joke, and he made sure that Sebastian knew it was. The only time they moved was for business. And the last time that was, was a couple years ago.
"I think I was the only one that was," Sebastian chuckled, "After all, you ended up having me kill the other two snipers you'd been looking at." He rolled his eyes, "I can make time for it, or I'll watch it tonight and be a little more tired than usual tomorrow morning. I've been much more sleep deprived on jobs," he said. He shook his head, "No, I'm not carrying that couch up another flight of stairs. Do you have any idea how heavy that thing is?" He teased, "Besides, I like our flat."

“What classification are you?” The question is with innocent intentions, and Jo realizes a moment after she says it that it could be, well, classified information. She clears her throat nervously. “Yeah, SHIELD’s rather paranoid about everythin’.” Jo realizes that she may have just accidentally insulted the institution she works for, so she quickly amends her statement. “Not that that’s a bad thing,” she adds, one rushed word tumbling onto the next. “I mean, they’ve got a lot of enemies and a lot of things to look out for. I mean, it makes sense.”
“Yeah, right. It’s just live or die. Y’know, it’s nothin’ like pass or fail.” Jo immediately scolds herself for being so rude – if she was going to work with this man on a top secret SHIELD mission, she should probably show him more respect. “Sorry,” she mutters. “This mission’s not quite what I’m used to. It’s a little stressful.” She avoids his gaze, suddenly rather interested in the practical pair of combat boots she is currently wearing.
She nods, comprehending the situation through the information he was disclosing to her. “I take it we’re on our own for transportation there too. When are we set to leave?” Jo runs a nervous hand through her hair, hoping the motion conceals how uneasy she is regarding this mission. “What’s our cover this time?”
Jo bites her lip, pondering his question for a brief moment. “I suppose there’s several reasons. If somethin’ goes wrong, two are more likely to be able to react faster than one. There’s also the fact that it’s easy for one to go rouge, especially if there’s some sort of reward involved for the treason against SHIELD, not that I’m sayin’ you’re gonna turn or nothin’, and there’s always someone to watch the other’s back. I guess I’m kinda there to watch out while you’re disablin’ the device.”
"I'm sure you'll find out at some point, but right now, I think I'll keep that to myself," Sebastian said with a chuckle, not seeming the least bit offended at her asking. "Yeah, gets a bit annoying at times, like when I'm trying to plan a vacation, but they do have a good reason for it, so I can't get too upset. They keep me alive, after all."
He laughed, rolling his eyes at her comment. "Don't apologize, there's nothing to be apologizing for." He nodded, "You'd be surprised, live or die is a lot easier than pass or fail. When your life is on the line, people can do amazing things." He paused, letting her take a moment. "Yup, transportation, the whole shebang, on our own. As for our cover, we're playing high-class business executives. The companies CEO won't be there the day we infiltrate, but we'll claim we have a meeting, after that, a couple security goes down, should be a clear path."
He smirked a bit, "Not bad," he said, "Very good reasons, although I don't think either of us are planning on going rogue. Not with our backgrounds, although, you don't know mine, so fair point." He said, "But yes, you're there to keep my back while I disable to device. It will take a bit of time, probably ten minutes, but that's plenty of time to get caught. I'll be counting on you," he told her, "Can I do that?"

Jim smiled sadly, averting his eyes to the table’s shiny surface. He remembers a conversation he had had with a friend a while back ago. Two summers, he thinks it was. He had said that the world may seem like shit now, just wait; It’s about to get worse. And Jim hadn’t believed him, already thinking that he had seen the worst that the world had to offer. But here they were, living in one of the worst economic dips the country had yet to see. And people still say that there’s more to come. He didn’t say any of this to Sebastian, mind you. “You’ve just got to know that everyone says it’s going to get better sooner or later,” He said instead, making a small mental note that the other man didn’t have a family back at home.
Jim returned the small smile. “I see what you mean,” He said with a quick nod, pushing his glasses back up when they slipped down an inch. “Like I said before, your job seems so much better than my own. But yeah, the sadder stories do seem a little.. grim at times. Especially now.” Jim’s grin widened. “Oh,” He quirked, not quite expecting the other man to comply. “A-Awesome. Six work for you?”
Sebastian nodded, "Yeah, true, things are getting better, but gotta keep working in order to keep that up," he said with a chuckle, taking a drink of coffee. "I like it. I always new I wanted to do something like this, writing about something important, never thought I'd get anywhere though, and my parents were quick to assure me of that." He smiled, "But I got to prove them wrong."
"Music's never really been my thing, I mean, it's nice to listen to but, I haven't got the ear for playing or the patience for practicing," he told Jim. He couldn't help but grin back, "Yeah, six would be fine. Maybe afterwards I could show you around the printing shop and such. You can see where all the boring work gets done."
