Announcement: Aspec Archives Week

What is Aspec Archives Week?

Aspec Archives Week is an event created by fans of The Magnus Archives to celebrate aro- and ace-spectrum (aspec) headcanons for all characters in the podcast. This event will run from January 11 to January 17, 2021, and will promote aspec headcanons, meta, writing, and art you may have for your favorite characters. 

Each day during the event, three different prompts will be provided for inspiration, but don't feel bound by any of the prompts. If you feel inspired to go in another direction, run with it! Aspec headcanons for any and all TMA characters are welcome and encouraged. Don’t let the name limit you—this is for any character in the series, so your aspec Agnes and Gerry works can be included as well as aspec Sasha or Tim!  

If you’re looking for inspiration or some tips on writing asexual characters, be sure to check out the Asexuality in Fic resource linked in our FAQ.

Event and Prompts

We will be using the tag #AspecArchives to collect works on Tumblr and Twitter, and the Aspec Archives Week Collection on AO3.  Please see our FAQ for details and guidelines on how to submit content.

continuing with my series of queer headcanons during pride month, here is the magnus archives!!

jon is biromantic, demiromantic, asexual and non-binary. they use he/they pronouns, but he sometimes likes she.

martin is gay, demisexual and trans. he uses he/him pronouns.

tim is aromantic and bisexual and trans. he uses he/him pronouns. he’s in a qpr with sasha.

sasha is aromantic, asexual and non-binary. they use she/they pronouns. she’s in a qpr with tim.

melanie is pansexual, greysexual and trans. she uses she/they pronouns.

basira is aromantic, asexual and trans. she uses she/her pronouns.

daisy is aromantic, a lesbian and non-binary. they use she/he/they pronouns.

georgie is panromantic, asexual and non-binary. she uses any pronouns.

Thinking about Martin conflating asexuality and aromantism and being perfectly content in his unrequited feelings for Jon, he knows he never had a chance, it’s not him it’s just that Jon doesn’t want that from anyone.

Thinking about him learning in season three that Georgie is Jon’s ex-girlfriend and being so confused because he didn’t think Jon really? Dated? At all?

Thinking about him actually getting up the guts to talk to Jon about it, to say “hey, I think I’ve misunderstood something here, if it’s not too personal a question to ask could you explain to me what asexuality really means because I think I’ve got entirely the wrong end of the stick.”

Thinking about him listening to Jon’s explanation and having a minor existential crises as he realizes holy shit, I think I’m asexual too.
