Hello! I'm questioning if I'm aspecies and found many terms which are similar but like no information on them like a coining post, carrd or similar. So I'm asking: What does aspecies exacly mean and is there a difference between speciesless and unspecies? Also because the terms are similar: what is the difference between ahuman and nonhuman and what do they mean exacly? I would love to get an answer. And many thanks in advance!

As far as I know, unspecies and speciesless is the same as aspecies.

Being disconnected from humanity but not connected to any other species. (To me, at least)

I've never heard of ahuman before, but based on a quick lookup, it seems to be more of a standpoint challenging humanity rather than being outside of it. I'll do more research and if this is incorrect I'll let you know but that's what I gathered so far!

You know... sometimes, I wish I could have the fun delusions again, the ones explaining my disconnect with humanity without trauma...

I miss being an alien fish person instead of aspecies, only sometimes tho...

Yeah, I don't feel like I can explain romantic love to anyone without bringing up my delusional past. Because the only time I've experienced it is in a delusion. But I'm okay with that. I'm okay with all of that being delusions, what I'm not okay with is the stigma around the fact that it was.

I would have never had my delusions treated if it didn't go so far as I was afraid of the Moon, that it would take my life! (I wrote a whole short story about that)

You don't need your delusions treated as long as it's not harming you or others! I didn't believe I actively had gills, I believed I used to in a past life...

My best sci-fi writing was back when I was delusional because I believed that in one of my past lives as this species, I was a doctor.

Now that I'm back to working on this story, that I put these aliens fishfolk in, I'm missing those delusions not enough to risk bad ones coming back, but I miss them.

I miss those dreams, I miss looking up at the stars wondering which one my home was...

There's a beauty in having a species different than your biology, but not having a species can be just as beautiful.

Aspecies concepts can have phantom limbs, too. Aspecies just means you don't feel like a particular species, you can still have traits of any of them!

I still wish I had gills, I sometimes feel a tail waving when I'm happy. You can't control how your brain processes your body, just be happy as yourself✨️💖

As a nonhuman, I cannot wait for the day someone insults me by saying "what sane human would do that!?" so I can just grin and smugly say "bold of you to assume I'm sane or human" and watch their flabbergasted fucking face

I'm so happy I found this blog. I thought I was just many ever changing species because I never related to any species even described among the nonhuman communities I've been in, but I think I actually don't have a species.

Can we get some positive for those of us without any specie? I've been feeling lonely out here, but I like to believe that there's others like me♡

I believe aspecies is a term you might want to look into! We have absolutely seen others--you're not alone!

But regardless, having no species is absolutely a thing, and you're no less real or important for not having a species. You deserve community and shared experiences, just as anyone else does. Smaller aspects of the alterhuman community are often overlooked, but there are absolutely others out there like you and I wish you the best of luck in finding them.

Purple is an alien color! Most things don't even have a pigment for it. But the rarest is blue! So blue and purple aliens makes the most sense!!

HEY i hope its okay to send this but i saw an anon send u their essay about being aspecies and!!! i wanted to send this just in case the anon is still watching ur blog because i feel EXACTLY the same and they (?not sure of anons pronouns) should know theyre not alone!!

everything the anon wrote in both that post and the included link at the bottom about nonhuman bodies hits me so hard, its everything ive felt and havent had the words to explain. i do have kin shifts but like, theyre not really me *right now*, theyre me in the past, and sometimes the shifts float up and take over, but my neutral state of being and the feeling hiding being the shifts is exactly what was written. and the body thing!!!!! my nonhumanness is also affected by being disabled and queer and still having to call this body human just Isnt It.
