Do What Makes You Feel Alive
As long as you get shit done.
http://www.gymaholic.co
I always want to go to the gym with my friends.. It's not that I'm ashamed of my body or anything it's just I'm scared to work out in front of anybody😂 I'm always worried people are going to tease me cause of the faces and stuff that I make
Nobody cares about the face you make or what you do.
If you’re working hard, nobody will judge you.
Stop overthinking and make things happen!

So this was what I was up to yesterday (no, that’s not me in the photo). I’ve been feeling more and more anxious recently, to the point where I’ve been having difficulty functioning. A friend of mine (I’ve really been blessed by the care of friends during this bout of cancer) insisted that I try floating.
I’d never been floating before; had never even heard of it, in fact. But I found the experience to be the most joyous thing to have happened to me since my diagnosis in March.
In case you’ve never heard of it, you get into a float pod (I couldn’t find a picture of one that was as old fashioned looking as the ones where we went) that’s shallowly filled with incredibly salty water. You get in, shut the door, and float in utter silence and darkness for an hour.
I was apprehensive at the thought of it, but it turned out to be incredibly soothing. The water temperature and the buoyancy that you experience make you feel completely weightless.
People are always telling me that I should meditate because I worry so much, but I’ve always found it impossible to shut down my mind chatter. It was like that at first in the pod too, but at some point I slipped away and was completely startled when the hour was up. I felt amazing afterwards.
Not only is it good for giving your mind a rest, but apparently your body takes in magnesium from the water, which helps muscle, nerve, and enzyme function. It also takes in sulphates, which helps to flush out toxins from the body. If you’re going through some highly stressful situation I definitely recommend giving it a try.
