unpopular opinion: I’m not mad at this season!!!! I actually really really liked it. yeah, everyone didn’t get their happy, fairytale endings but GUESS WHAT BITCHES, that is REAL LIFE. it would be unrealistic to show these kids, who have experienced so much trauma, just magically get over their problems and ignore the scars to be happy-go-lucky in the future. these writers didn’t give a single fuck and chucked almost every “normal” plot arch out window to show us a more raw, human side of characters. it left me truly speechless. AND that’s the point of good TV!!!! you should be surprised, scared, curious, confused, upset, AND happy. Good television SHOULD PUSH YOU to feel new emotions and see things from different perspectives and you SHOULD to feel a little uncomfortable. Bc storytelling is more beautiful and beneficial, for that matter, when writers explore unconventional territory that pushes real characters into real, gnarly shit instead of just giving the audience a satisfying, but shallow ending that has less emotional gravity and impact on the message they’re truly trying to portray. just my two cents ;)Â
