❝Tes lèvres brûlent tant de mille mensonges Que tu ne prends plus la peine de raconter❞
It’s not every day you get asked for a cover a friday night for a monday morning. Especially when you’re already running after 4 deadlines.
I consider it as a great achievement to be trusted to that extent and I am very proud to be able to paint all these babies on due times.
This is my another traditionnaly painted cover for Marvel for the title A force.
The rough was very messy
I hope you’ll like it.
Yes, perfect.
I’ll see you then.
“Hayley, yes. They do start to grow on you, after some time in them. I may not be the best source to ask, though.” She laughed, lightly. “What are you calling yourself, mother?”
I’ve taken to calling myself Esther. It’s hardly creative, but it’s easy enough to remember. I can’t even begin to count the number of times I’ve almost slipped.
“People tend to judge too much. They mostly do it according to person’s looks or clothing or, in Taylor’s case, her music. They’re quite annoying.”
It bothers me so much. I wish the trolls wouldn’t be quite so loud with their harmful opinions.
Well you haven’t annoyed me yet. Quite the opposite in fact. Safe to say you’re safe with me.
I’m Esther, by the way. Seeing as I now know you aren’t going to bite my neck, I think I can tell you that.
Everyday after eight at night.
Eight-thirty on Saturday?
misshannahwilliams:
“Why don’t cherries count?”
“I won’t complain, that’s more for me! You know, I make a decent cherry pie if I may say so myself. You should come over one of these days and I’ll prepare one for you.”
They’re not technically berries, are they?
Will you really? You don’t have to do that, obviously, but oh, how I’d love it if you did.
Tell me about it. I mean, it’s got to be a nightmare. Seeing you’re entire world fall apart, and then having to live through it. All those Greek heroes get on my nerves sometimes - like all you did was show up with a god’s blessing and hack someone to pieces. Jason would’ve been dead without Medea, and Theseus would’ve been eaten alive by the Minotaur if it wasn’t for Ariadne, Troy would still be standing if people had believed Cassandra, and so on and so on. [She blushes] I’m sorry, I tend to rant and rave a bit. My mythology class is really interesting.
Thanks. It’s from Shakespeare. Esther? As in the Biblical figure?
It sounds like it. I’ve always wanted to take a mythology course, and from the sounds of it I’d most definitely agree with your professor. Who’s teaching the class, if you don’t mind my asking?
I assume so, but I don’t actually know. I’ll have to ask my parents about it when I see them again. [She shrugs]
Oh that sounds amazing! So did you get to see the Northern Lights? I’ve always wanted to see them, they look so colorful and gorgeous. And please that sounds like good priorities to me, I’d miss them too.
No, I don’t live that close to the poles. But I’ve always wanted to see them in real life, pictures just aren’t enough to satisfy me. Maybe I’ll get around to seeing them sometime this winter.
“Esther Clara? Interesting name. I like it.” He grinned at her as she laughed at the joke. At least it’s good to know that he can still make those, despite how weak they might be. “Yeah only way cooler. They are behind the times! We have to get the flying cars so our future can go back to being on the right path - whatever that path is anyways.” He gave a small nod as she continued with her trip. “Well, going at a weird time must have been worth it then. I’m glad you had a good time, Esther.”
“Why thank you, though I think you’ll have to thank my parents for it more than me,” she teased, grinning. “They are, aren’t they? Hopefully we’ll have flying cars within our lifetimes. I don’t know if I’d be able to stand it knowing that my grandchildren get to utilize technology I only just missed.” She sighed quietly. “I miss it already and I’ve only been home for a few weeks. Perhaps I should rent a timeshare or something of that ilk.”
“It’s why us women have got to stick together.”
I couldn’t agree more. It’s a harsh world out there, only made harsher if we continue to tear each other down and let our internalized misogyny tear us apart.
Esther - … - … - Asteria - Deborah Ann Woll - TAKEN
“Close your eyes and drift into the darkness.”
To Forget The Past
Asteria was the titan goddess of the oracles, stars and prophecies of the night, including prophetic dreams, necromancies and the reading of the stars (astrology). Being the daughter of the God Coeus and Goddess Phoebe who were both original Titans born from chaos, she was a second generation titaness. Her sleeping patterns are rather erratic, as she cannot control the dreams she has which are so realistic, she finds it difficult to pull herself out of it. She views her confusing and unhelpful dreams as a curse, rather than a gift. Her dreams seem to infer occurrences of the future, but she is always unsure of whether they will come to pass or not. But the one talent she does enjoy, is being the oracle of night, she is able to send prophetic dreams and messages unto others. She dwells in the realm of night amongst the stars and dreams, and also among the dead.
Asteria has only ever loved one man, Perses the God of Destruction. Often, when she couldn’t sleep, she would stare at the sky and watch Perses’ stars, mesmerised by their beauty. When Zeus attempted to sexually pursue her and her sister Leto, Asteria fled and found refuge in throwing herself in the ocean, but not before transforming into a quail. Though her sister failed to flee Zach’s attempts and Hera’s undeniable wrath and jealousy, Asteria was determined and found her escape — only transforming back to her usual form when she deemed it safe. Soon after, Perses confessed his love for her, and the two married and gave birth to their daughter, Hecate.
You Have To Build A Future
Asteria had always been loyal to her uncle, and that he knew. When she came down to Earth as a human, she remained on his side — helping to prevent the gods and goddesses from knowing their pasts. She felt it her responsibility to do so, especially after what Zeus did to her in the past. She never wanted to have to run from the man again, nor did she want her sister having to deal with Hera’s wrath, either. She thought it best to keep the gods and goddesses away from them for as long as possible.
But upon seeing her daughter on earth, she realized what a mistake it was being away from her daughter, and leaving the goddess to suffer down on earth. Being the determined, independent woman Asteria is, she decided to go against Cronos’ plans, but in secret, and soon began sending dreams to the gods and goddesses in hopes of reminding them of who they are. She does not work for anyone, she decides her own fate and now believes the Gods should be able to decide theirs too.
5 facts about Asteria
1. She secretly sends prophetic dreams to all the gods on a regular basis. She sends Hecate the most dreams.
2. She does not experience thirst and hunger just like the rest of the titans.
3. She attempts to steer clear of Zeus and Hera.
4. She is stubborn, indifferent at times, and quite determined to learn ways of being a human. She assimilates quite well with them.
5. She poses as a rich, young woman in no need of a job.

It depends on how much I actually like you.
And how much is that? I need to know whether or not I should be fearing for my life.
Would you like some coffee? We could make a list of all the things that are scary in adulthood and then send the letter.
I’d love to. When are you free?
I wasn’t. Just that it’s a fact that some people don’t like her. Just like it’s a fact that some people do.
I’m not going to bite your head off if you express an opinion, you know. You can continue playing the devil’s advocate if you wish, but I was half-joking with my original statement. I don’t take pop music that seriously.
Or write a letter to our future president.
There are so many facets of adulthood that are so much more threatening than they need to be, don’t you think? Why should we stop at simply doctor’s visits?
