While You Were Sleeping (Kinda a fairy tale?)

Muse A was married with a little boy and a baby on the way. An accident killed their son, caused a miscarriage, and left Muse A in a coma. Muse A’s spouse was in a deep depression following the accident but was hopeful Muse A would recover and they could try to start their family again. 

Months pass. Then a year. Muse A’s spouse stops visiting so often, then stops visiting at all. Muse A’s spouse files for divorce after meeting someone new in a grief support group.

Muse A no longer gets any visitors. They do dream though, in the comatose state. Of someone reading to them. Caring for them. Little does Muse A know, but they dream of Muse B, a hospital volunteer that has taken to visiting them since Muse A’s spouse left them. They read to Muse A and talk to them, praying they come out of their coma.

Overwhelmed by sadness for Muse A, Muse B says a prayer and kisses Muse A’s lips before leaving one night. Muse A woke later that night, and learned that years had passed, they no longer had a spouse or child, no job. They literally only had the person of their dreams, Muse B.

Twist one: Muse B brings Muse A home since they have nowhere and nothing to go home to.

Twist two: Muse A thinks their spouse was the one visiting all those years, and is skeptical when Muse B tells them it has been them.

The Flash AU: In which, Iris is struck by lightning in a freak storm and develops superhuman strength and cat-like reflexes. With the help of Dr. Harrison Wells, Dr. Caitlin Snow and Cisco Ramon, she uses her powers to keep the people of Central City safe. However the authorities and the police refuse to see her persona, Cottonmouth as anything other than a menace to society. A huge problem for Iris as both her father and Barry Allen-the man she’s had a crush on since childhood-are both working for the police department. Never-the-less, Iris continues to use her powers to fight crime and help others affected by the freak storm.

In Time AU

Welcome to the new normal– a world where people are genetically engineered to stop aging at 25.  But they are also only given one more year to live, unless they can acquire more.  Time is the new currency and the rich of New Greenwich have manufactured a way to live forever at the expense of the poor whose only desire is just wake up with more time on their hand than hours in the day.

Oliver Queen has spent the last 3 years since his 25th birthday struggling for every moment on his time clock.  For as long as he can remember it has just been him and his mother, and struggle though it has been, Oliver has been happy with that.  Satisfied just to take another breath, always looking for another job, another moment, another way to beat the clock.

Then, a strange twist of fate leaves him with more time than he can imagine and the knowledge of what the rich immortals of New Greenwich are really up to.  For a few to be immortal, many must die.

When his mother’s body is counted among the many, due to the greed of the wealthy, Oliver decides to take matters into his own hands and infiltrate New Greenwich.  There he meets Felicity Smoak, the gorgeous daughter of one of the richest men in the world, and is forced to take her hostage when the law enforcement comes after him for his time.

Oliver shows Felicity what it’s like to live with nothing, and together they take on the corrupt system their society has been built on for so long.  In a world where time equals money and power, they’re about to learn that every second counts.
